DISLIKE (The Disliked:)TOP 1 - Braised Food
Why foreign students dislike Braised Food ?
Most of the foreign students are not like (do not like)sweet
sauces,and they think (feel)Taro cake tasted(taste) weird
because it is soft and sticky.
Special sauce is a little sweet, not too salty and very
aromatic with cloves , star anise , cinnamon and other
spices. Pick your preferred ingredients and the vendors
will cook it in the pot of special sauce. Grasp time to allow
the sauce to be well absorbed by the food.
(The broth is a unique mixture of clove, star anise,
cinnamon, sugar, salt, water, and some other spices. You
can choose the materials you like to have , and hand to the
storekeeper. He/She, then, cooks the foods in the broth,
and simmers them until well savored.)
Most of the ingredients have(materials are) Dried
(hard)tofu, Black rice , Needle mushroom, King Oyster
Mushroom, Cabbage, Powder intestines(Pork
intestines), Bean Curd Sheet, sausage, (and) etc.
Take a look at (the) reviews of foreign
students!
DISLIKE (The Disliked:)TOP 2 - Oyster Omelet
Why foreign students dislike Oyster Omelet ?
Many foreign students don't like seafoods, (especially the
aboriginal ) oysters.
Oyster omelet is a Chinese dish that really showcases the fat of
the land of Taiwan, and many parts of Asia for its savory
taste.
(Not only is Oyster Omelet a popular dish in Taiwan, but
also very popular in Singapore, Malaysia, and some other
places in Asia.)
The dish consists of an omelette with a filling primarily composed of
small oysters . The eggs are the perfect foil for the little
oysters easily found and sweet potato starch is added to
give the whole thing a gooey chewiness.
Spicy or chili sauce mixed with lime juice is often added to
provide an intense taste.
(The Taiwanese oyster omelette is a street dish made from eggs, small
oysters, vegetables, and sweet potato starch. Mostly it cooked in a fry-pan.
The sweet potato starch gives the omelet its characteristic gelatinous, slight
chewy “QQ” (as Taiwanese like to call it) texture. It’s the favorite part of the
oyster omelet. But for some foreign students, it's terrible to have chili sauce
sweet, and the oysters smell unpleasant. These may have been the reason
why some foreign students refuse the Taiwanese oyster omelette.)
If you don't like oysters, maybe you can try to (the shrimp
omelet is an alternative.) Shrimp can sometimes be
substituted in place of oysters.
If you also don't like, you can eat oyster omelet flavored
biscuits, maybe you can accept.
DISLIKE (The Disliked:)TOP 3 - Pig's (Pork )Blood Cake
Why foreign students dislike Pig's Blood Cake ?
When they hear the "blood" to do (can be)food, they don't
want to try because it doesn't taste good, and the
sensation(flavor) is weird.
Pig's blood cake is a street food delicacy served on a stick
from market stalls in Taiwan. It is made with(of) pork
blood, sticky rice and soy broth. It is fried or steamed and
coated in (with)peanut flour. It is served hot by street
vendors who keep it warmed in a wooden box or metal
steamer. In order to increase the flavor that vendors
will rolled around in peanut flour, and topped with cilantro.
DISLIKE (The Disliked:)TOP 5 - Century eggs
Century egg or pidan also known as preserved egg,
hundred-year egg, thousand-year egg, etc. It is a Chinese
cuisine ingredient made by preserving duck, chicken or quail
eggs in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime.
Century eggs take about 4-5 weeks to make, a few
minutes to work up the courage to open, and a few seconds
to eat. After curing(soaking in a mixed brine), the yolk of
the egg turns (into )a dark green and creamy, while(and
the white turns(becomes) amber and gelatinous.
The most common is to(It is almost a tradition,)(when you
having) porridge, (you serve it with) preserved eggs
or Century eggs added to the (and)tofu.
LIKE TOP 1 - Taiwan sausage with sticky rice
Taiwan sausage with sticky rice is a popular at night
markets. That rice sausage is slit open to stuff in a pork
sausage. So it's a little sausage inside a big one.when
served as the snack "little sausage inside big sausage" it is
unbeatable.
It is originated from Hakka snacks in Hualien. Basically, it's
like a hot dog, but instead of a bun , sticky rice is stuffed
inside a sausage casing to make an oversized rice sausage .
Most sellers will add some cucumber, sauerkraut, and you can
add what you like favor(Spicy, Garlic, Black pepper, Green
Mustard).
LIKE TOP 2 - Papaya milk
Papaya milk is popular in Taiwan, a beverage made from
papaya, milk and water.
Not only in convenience stores and supermarkets the boxed papaya
milk( is available), but( you also can have fresh papaya milk in
streets or night markets.) in the beverage shop also can buy
papaya milk made at the scene.(The vendor is always processing the
beverage before your eyes.)
Best Papaya Milk Drink Recipe
makes (For )2 small glasses; this recipe doubles well
Ingredients:
Papaya, 1 medium-sized papaya that is overly(fully) ripe, to the point
where it is almost starting to go bad.
1 cup milk (Note: If you prefer a stronger papaya flavour, feel free to
reduce the milk by half. Alternatively, you could omit the milk
altogether, and make a papaya juice instead.
Honey or sweetened condensed milk to taste if necessary (Note: If
you have a good papaya(fully ripe), you will not (don't)need to add
sweetener. Keep in mind that this drink is not meant to be overly(too)
sweet, but feel free to add to taste, if desired(add or reduce the
ingredients as you like).)
(Direction:)
Use a large, sharp knife to cut the papaya in half, lengthwise. Then
use a spoon to scoop out(remove) all the seeds. Discard the
seeds. Then use the spoon to scoop all of the papaya’s red orange
flesh into a blender. Add the milk to the blender. Place the lid onto
the blender, and turn the machine onto(switch to) the highest
speed. Blend until you have a(it becomes) completely smooth and
creamy, thick drink that is homogeneously pale orange in
colour. Taste test and add honey or sweetened condensed milk to
taste, if desired. Serve immediately.

LIKED and DISLIKED TOP 4 - Stinky Tofu(Tsou Tofu)
Why (don't )foreign students dislike (like)(Tsou Tofu)Stinky Tofu ?
When they smell stinky tofu,(the reek of tsou tofu), it make their
want to (them veer rapidly) vomiting. When they first bite, they
immediately spit it out. They feel disgusting.(disgusted) But some
of foreign students eat tsou tofu , they feel good.
Tsou Tofu is a form (kind)of fermented tofu that has a
strong odor. This (It )is the world's best love-it-or-hate-it
snack. The cube of bean curd (fermented tofu)is deep-fried,
and draped (add some)sweet and spicy sauce. If you hold
your nose(breath) it looks and tastes just like a plain piece
of fried tofu, with a crisp casing and soft center like pudding.
(and nibble a tsou tofu, you will have an appetizing
experience of eating a crisp and juicy tofu.)
Tsou tofu can be eaten(served) cold, steamed, stewed or
most commonly deep-fried' and is often accompanied
by(served with) chili sauce. Spicy tsou tofu is a new
