2015-2016 DIRECT DONATION FORM
The EES PTA’s first fundraiser for the 2015-2016 school year is the 2nd Annual Direct Donation
Campaign. In an effort to avoid doing typical product-based fundraisers, we are once again asking
families and friends of EES for direct donations. This way, 100% of the money goes to support EES
PTA initiatives and 100% of your donation is tax deductible! Receipts are provided.
Our goal for the 2014-2015 school year was $15,000.00. We were able to raise approximately $5,000.00
during the first few months of the school year. Another $2000.00 was donated over the course of the year
for a total approximating $7,000.00. We did fall short of our goal. As a result, last spring we resorted to
a product-based fundraiser which yielded another $1,000.00.
This year, our goal is to reach the $15,000.00 mark. If every student donated $20, we would exceed our
goal. While we certainly appreciate any and all donations – large and small – donations made at the
beginning of the school year are especially beneficial as we work to establish our annual budget.
Knowing how much we are able to spend enables us to know which programs can and cannot be
responsibly funded throughout the year. Some of these programs include:
*Cultural Arts (student assemblies) *PBIS
*Teacher Supports *Family Fun Nights
*Trunk or Treat *Spring Fling *Elkster’s Birthday Party *Elkster 5K *Teacher Appreciation Week
*5th Grade Events (musical, social, SCH) *Field Day *Just for Dads *Hospitality
Each year, the PTA spends about one-half to one-third of its total budget ($5,000.00) on the student
assemblies which serve to augment each grade’s classroom curriculum. The remainder goes to support
the other programs mentioned above. Only a slight percentage of the total budget goes toward operating
costs (paper, stamps, etc.); and, of course, all of the PTA’s work is done by volunteers. So you can know
that almost all of your donation goes directly to benefit your child, his or her fellow students and their
teachers. Any financial support you can provide is greatly appreciated! If you are able to contribute,
