Webinar #16 8.6.13 Fourth Living Creature Rev 6:7-8— When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come." I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth. The flying eagle— this is the spirit predominantly released in the present age. It is epitomized in Ephesians 1:17-18. The spirit of wisdom and revelation granted to God's people to access the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden in Christ. It is the unfolding of the mysteries of God's kingdom manifested in a body of overcoming Christians. It is God’s grace to live in the revelatory realm of Heaven. Both spirits are coming to maturity. The anti-christ spirit culminates is spiritual and natural death while the Spirit of God is awakening His people to the reality of Heaven and the realization of manifesting His Kingdom on earth in an introductory way. We will only taste it on this side before the Lord returns. The eagle anointing facilitates Hebrews 6:5— and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, Laodicean Church Age— 1906 to Present A. Lukewarm Christianity becomes prevalent in this age. The Church has the mistaken notion that she is rich and increased in goods having need of nothing. Nevertheless, the Lord recognizes her as wretched, poor, blind, and naked. This is the predominant condition of the western church. His marvelous grace grants the opportunity for repentance and the greatest the benefit ever given to any church age... The opportunity to sit with him on His throne and rule with kingdom authority. B. Although 1906 is primarily recognized as the birthing of the Laodicean church age, most historians readily agreed that the seeds of the modern Pentecostal age began in 1885 in a conference in London England. Many significant events transpired during this time line. World war I and II both signify significant events marking the prophecies of Matthew 24. 1885— Bethshan Conference on Holiness and Healing, in London England; under the leadership of William Boardman and A. B. Simpson. Many historians acknowledge that the present Pentecostal movement was first initiated in this June, 1885 meeting. Alexander Dowie and others pointed to the London conference as the seed-bed for the healing movement they enjoyed. This conference laid the foundation for the corporate restoration of the Spirit's in-filling and the activation of spiritual gifts. Some reports acknowledge that as many as 2000 leaders converged on London to discover that divine healing is the "children's bread." A. B. Simpson first visited William Boardman's healing houses in London and brought the concept back to the United States. It was popularized by Alexander Dowie in Zion, IL 1896— Dowie commissioned His Apostolic church in 1896 and founded the city of Zion, Illinois a few years later. His entire ministry was built upon great demonstrations of healing and deliverance. He was a prolific author and steward of spiritual truth that was circulated internationally through his publication, "Leaves of Healing." It is unfortunate that his later years were obscured in controversy and deception. Even so, he was a great pioneer of the faith. Gordon Lindsay honored Alexander Dowie in his periodical, Voice of Healing, acknowledging that Dowie was a "stalwart preacher who proclaimed Jesus Christ both Savior and Healer." Lindsay states that, "In a single-handed crusade in Chicago, and against great odds, Dr. Dowie established the right to pray for the sick without interference from civil authorities. Tens of thousands testified of healing under this man's ministry and his work was without a parallel in his day." 1904-05— A few years later Evan Roberts launched the 1904/05 Welsh revival, setting the stage for the Azusa Street revival under the leadership of William J. Seymour. Although the Welsh outpouring most likely did not accomplish the fullness of its mandate, it left an indelible mark on this generation's perception of community transformation. 1933— a most unusual event occurs on the Ohio River. While William Branham was baptizing 500 people an amber colored ball of fire descends from heaven and speaks audibly to him. 4000 witnesses lined the river and both saw and heard the occurrence. According to this man of God, the voice stated "as John the Baptist Fore ran my first coming so shall you bring a message that will forerun my second coming." 1946— Launching the Latter Rain Revival. On May 7, 1946, after a night of agonizing prayer and travail, William Branham received a visitation from an angel who delivered a divine commissioning directly from God's throne. This account has been well documented and the fruit of the revival itself testifies of its validity The angel said to Branham, "Fear not. I am sent from the Presence of Almighty God to tell you that your peculiar life and your misunderstood ways have been to indicate that God has sent you to take a gift of divine healing to the peoples of the world. If you will be sincere and get the people to believe you, nothing shall stand before your prayer...not even cancer! 1948— Israel becomes a nation. The world is experiencing a major healing revival. UN is formed along with the world Council of Churches. Billy Graham and Oral Roberts organize their international ministries and become two of the most recognized evangelists in this age. 1977— In the midst of the charismatic renewal, Roland Buck is taken into a Throne room experience on January 21, 1977. Following that experience the angel Gabriel appears to him 27 times over the next 2 1/2 years. This marks a significant transition from church age thinking into the realization of God's kingdom. C. The Reward Rev 3:21— "He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. To overcome we must have the ability to hear His voice. His voice comes to his people through the spirits of wisdom and revelation. The Eagle anointing opens the eyes and unstops the ears of desperate believers whose heart has been awakened to our true condition. These become like David and cry out, "my heart would fail me if I did not believe that I could see the goodness and glory of God while in the land of the living."
