Reduce Waste by Buying Less. Fix and maintain things to keep them working longer
Only buy things you will really use and don’t already have
Use reusable shopping bags instead of plastic throwaways. Refill a reusable water bottle instead of
buying plastic water bottles
Buy a big container of something you use a lot, like soap, instead of lots of little containers
Reuse things that are still good instead of throwing them away. Make old clothes into something new.
Fix and maintain things to keep them working longer. Use the “clean” side of paper to make copies or
write on.
Use reusable signs and white boards instead of paper when you can.
Recycle! Everything recycled is one less piece of junk polluting landfills and dumps.
Paper is made into new paper. Aluminum is melted down and made into new products
Glass is melted down and made into new glass. Hard plastic is melted down and made into new
products.
