USAPA SOFTWARE AND BRACKETS
The software is set up for Double Elimination tournaments. You can, of course, use it for
single elimination by not moving teams to the Loser’s Bracket.
For an event where you do Round Robin or Round Robin Pool Play and then move all of
those players into a double or single elimination bracket, you must still follow Round Robin
rules and report the Round Robin results (see below). In the USAPA bracket software you
will create a bracket for the event and seed the players according to the Round Robin results.
If only some of the teams are moving to the Double or Single Elimination Medal bracket it is a
bit more complicated. You create the bracket in the USAPA software using all teams and
then move the names of those in the medal play out to a “column/round” of the bracket that
has the correct number of entries. Email: tourney-sched@usapa.org for help getting this set

When using the USAPA brackets and software you always must copy/paste the medal
winners onto the proper line at the end for it to appear in the results table.
Reporting the scores of a Round Robin
Below you will find a sample completed Round Robin. It is for 3 teams, playing a double
round robin, they play each other twice, one game to 15 win by 1 each time.
There is a page with a blank Round Robin form for 3 teams and another for 4 teams after
that. If you have multiple round robins you can insert a page break and then paste in a
copy/copies of the form (while it is still blank). This will allow you to have all of your round
robins in one document to send in as an attachment to an email.
You can add more columns and rows if you have more than 4 teams. You may have each
game be one to 21 win by 1 instead. You may have each team play each other only once,
either to 15 or 21 win by 1. You may also have them play 3 games to 11 win by 1. If you do
games to 11 you MUST do all 3 games even if one team wins the first two.
