Bukit Panjangan Asri Blok M – 7, Semarang 50147, Central Java – Indonesia Voluntary Service Dejavato foundation is non-profit organization working for peace, international understanding and solidarity, education, social sustainable development and respect to the culture and environment through international voluntary work, educational and cultural activities as well as exploring natural attraction. Founded in 15 June 2005, Dejavato Foundation becomes fast growing NGO which organizes voluntary works in Europe, Asia as well as America. Around 50 projects of voluntary works were organized each year both national and international level. Fun with Volunteering, Voluntary work gives chance for all participants both local and international to experience the unique and interesting aspect from its project. Participants have a chance to share their time, energy, effort as well as joyful in the project site together with local community. Culture exchange, language learning and mutual understanding will be an integration part of voluntary service. Placement, Dejavato Foundation offers various programs of voluntary works, starting form Short-term program/workcamp (2-3 weeks), short- term program (1-2 months) and also Longterm program/LTV (3-12 moths). All Dejavato Foundation programs are conducted without bias toward gender, religion, ethnicity or physical ability. Mostly our projects are in line with education, construction, teaching, health, environment and disabled.A mid voluntary service project is an individual voluntary service experience a volunteer can carry on for a period between 1 to 6 months. Through a mid-term voluntary service project, volunteers are daily involved in education and community development activities and live in closed contact with the Indonesian society. Individuals have the chance to share their knowledge with local activists, social workers and teachers and to learn from each other.At professional level, an MTV project is a good occasion to improve communication, problem solving, conflict management and organizational skills; while at personal level, it is a great chance to experience cultural diversity, Indonesian hospitality and warmth and to get to know a new country. It has aims in contributing to the education program of DEJAVATO; contributing to the social development of Indonesia local communities; promoting cultural diversity and stimulating intercultural learning. Project and Activities Volunteers are placed in schools, community centres, orphanages, organizations active in the field of health care and HIV and they are involved in different activities: from teaching English to develop an environmental campaign; from promoting personal hygiene to empowering a local group of women. For the organisation of the MTV programme, Dejavato works in cooperation with several Indonesian organisations and institutions in the Java Island. The partners are responsible for the organisation of the daily activities, the appointment of a project coordinator and the well-being of the volunteer while the Foundation administers the project, promotes the programme between its partner organisations, selects the volunteers, provides them orientation and run evaluation sessions.The Foundation and its partners plan activities for the volunteers before their arrival but, once on the project site, volunteers can propose new ideas, activities, techniques and new methods. The hosting partner will be happy to learn from the volunteers and to improve the quality of their services. The specific objectives of each project are stated in each project description.
