PhD required Description: The Center for Bio-Molecular Science and Engineering at the Naval Research Laboratory is seeking a Ph.D. crystallographer for a Post-doctoral position on structural studies on a variety of small-molecule compounds and complexes. The candidate should have a strong background in the practical aspects of small-molecule crystallography, including crystallization, data acquisition, structure solution and refinement. In addition, the position will be responsible for managing our in-house structural database. Our laboratory is very well equipped for all aspects of structural work. Familiarity with Bruker-AXS instrumentation and software would be a plus. We currently have two Bruker single crystal diffractometers, as well as a Bruker powder diffractometer. Our laboratory has on-going programs in biosensors, drugs of abuse, and energetic materials. U.S. citizenship required.
