Operating manual for digital temperature controller XH-W1208 Product information This temperature controller adopts advanced micro electronic technique—LED digital display, drawing the advantages and experience of Monocrystalline temperature controller at home and abroad, providing optimal solutions under precondition of meeting customers’ needs. Simple and practical as it is, it is economical product with high cost performance. Being a mini type with integrated intelligent control and able to set delay return difference, it is especially applicable to various situations of refrigerating, freezing and heating. Connect control circuit to supply electricity for temperature controller, and it shows the ambient temperature on the display screen. Press SET button once, the temperature on the display screen will blink. Press + to turn up temperature and - to turn down temperature( long press on +- for quick turn up or down). Press SET to get back after finished settings, and the relay will power on/off automatically pressing setting on controller now. With long press on SET for 3 seconds, the controller will get startup or shutdown under normal display condition. Statements of Indicator light, nixie tube and buzzer Indicator light: blink indicates start-up delay of refrigerating and heating, normally on indicates the relay is closed. Nixie tube: show LLL indicates open circuit of the sensor, connect the sensor in line with the instructions; show HHH indicates in excess of range of the measurement of temperature controller, the relay will be forced to disconnect. For example, ambient temperature is 30℃, setting value is 25℃, set return difference at 2℃, relay operate after powering on, cooler turn on; when cooled to 23℃, relay disconnect, cooler turn off, temperature will begin to rise up due to the disconnection of cooler; when rising up to setting value 25℃, relay operate, cooler turn on again; control temperature will not exceed 25℃recycling in this way. Heating mode: when measuring temperature value≤setting value, relay operates, heater turns on; when measuring temperature value≥setting value, relay disconnects, heater turns off. For example, ambient temperature is 10℃, setting value is 25℃, set return difference at 2℃, relay operates after powering on, heater turns on; when heated to 27℃, relay disconnects, heater turns off, temperature will begin to go down due to the disconnection of heater; when going down to setting value 25℃, relay operates, heater turns on again; control temperature will not be lower than 25℃recycling in this way. P2 maximum temperature setting upper limit To refrain from danger because of excess temperature caused by others’ wrong operations, the temperature controller has a function of setting maximum upper limit, which restricts the setting range of maximum temperature setting point of temperature controller Long press on SET for 5 seconds to display P0, press +- to switch to P2, press SET once to set maximum upper limit, press +- to set maximum setting temperature, maximum value 110, press SET once to get back after finished, long press on SET or no press-button movement for 10 seconds, the controller will confirm and complete automatically For example: set temperature at 60, you can only set temperature at its maximum setting value of 60℃ Adjust the setting value of upper limit if you want to expand the maximum temperature range of setting value. P3 minimum temperature setting lower limit To refrain from ice block because of low temperature caused by others’ wrong operations, the temperature controller has a function of setting minimum lower limit, which restricts the setting range of minimum temperature setting point of temperature controller Long press on SET for 5 seconds to display P0, press +- to switch to P3, press SET once to set minimum lower limit, press +- to set minimum setting temperature, minimum value -50, press SET once to get back after finished, long press on SET or no press-button movement for 10 seconds, the controller will confirm and complete automatically For example: set temperature at 2, you can only set temperature setting value at minimum 2℃ Adjust the setting value of lower limit if you want to expand the minimum temperature range of setting value. P4 temperature correction The correction function is applicable to occasions when there are deviations between measuring temperature and standard temperature or users have specific requirements for hardware. Temperature after corrected=temperature before correcting + corrected value Effective range: -7.0~7.0 Long press on SET for 5 seconds to display P0, press +- to switch to P4, press SET once to correct, press +- to set correcting value, press SET once to get back after finished, long press on SET or no press-button movement for 10 seconds, the controller will confirm and complete automatically For example: normal temperature display is 25°C; display 25°C when temperature correction is 0; display 26.5°C when temperature correction is 1.5; display 23.5°C when temperature correction is -1.5; P5 delay start time unit: minute Start delay function when the cooler or heater is in need of time delay, protecting life of the equipment Long press on SET for 5 seconds to display P0, press +- to switch to P5, press SET once to set time unit of delay start at minute, press +- to set 0-10 minutes, press SET once to get back after finished, long press on SET or no press-button movement for 10 seconds, the controller will confirm and complete automatically Cooling mode: powering on for the first time, if current temperature≥setting value, cooler will not start cooling immediately, instead it will start after running out the setting delay time Heating mode: powering on for the first time, if current temperature≤setting value, heater will not start heating immediately, instead it will start after running out the setting delay time If the outage time between two contiguous starts of the cooler or heater is greater than the setting value of start time, cooler will start immediately; If the outage time between two contiguous starts of the cooler or heater is less than the setting value of start time, the equipment will not restart until it runs out the setting delayed starting time of the cooler. Delay time is calculated immediately after the cooler stops.
