[dialogue] this is the learning café, there are computers available 24 hours a day, if you need it!
Learning / teaching spaces
[dialogue] we have small intimate teaching spaces, to large teaching spaces like this the John Stripe
auditorium
West Downs campus exterior
[dialogue] this beautiful building is the Winchester Business School
Inside
[dialogue] so this here is one of the business school’s study rooms, it’s got break-out pods, we’ve
also got a trading room which really brings the sticks and shares experience to life.
Martial Rose Library inside
[dialogue] shhhh, we’re in the library! Three floors with over half a million books. Archive videos and
sounds recordings. Over 850 types of journal in the stack system. There are even private study
rooms, so groups can work together.
Queen’s Road Accommodation exterior
[dialogue] welcome to Queen’s Road student village, it’s got over 400 self catered rooms here ensuite, we’ve got security, unlimited internet access, site stewards, it’s all here!
West Downs Accommodation exterior
[dialogue] this is another one of our student villages West Downs, we’ve got over 750 rooms here
and we’ve been told it looks like a mini Manhattan, so on your bike – ding ding of bike bell

[dialogue] we’re a Fairtrade University, we’ve won a Good Egg Award, we aim to locally and ethically
source all our food wherever possible. Well I’m going to have my lunch now, so why don’t you go

[dialogue] so this here is the careers service, so this is where you can get advice on your CV and
interview skills and on top of that we’ve got the JobShop, which is an online database to help you
find jobs while you study and also we’ve got the Winchester Passport which will really help you
stand out when you graduate.
The Dytche playing field - outside
[dialogue] we take sports seriously, from our Olympic standard sports stadium, with an Olympic size
running track and all weather pitches, to our Centre for Sport and our biomechanics suite.
University shop - outside
[dialogue] we’ve shops and cash machines all on campus
Performing Arts building outside
music starts and moves inside to students dancing
[dialogue] phwoof – so you just saw a rehearsal there in one of the performing arts studios, which is
where you dancers really like to get down and boogie. We’ve got six of those, we’ve also got a
performance gym, so if you’re really serious about performing you’ll go there.
Student services – outside
[dialogue] so we’re outside Student Services and they’re here to offer you help and support, which is
really important in your first year. And they’re really good.
Multi-media suite inside TV studio
[dialogue] welcome to the TV studio, we’ve got a multi camera set-up in here and a full working
gallery. We’ve also got a Loans Counter where you can get the latest laptops to HD video cameras.
We’ve also got the latest editing software in our PC and Mac suites. Was that alright guys [on screen

The Vault inside
[dialogue] we won the Gold Award at the Best Bar None, how cool is that?! Bop, Flirt!, cinema,
comedy nights, quiz nights, there is always loads going on.
