PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a very meticulous person, who enjoys a challenge in both practical
and analytical areas. My reliability, communication skills, responsibility
and friendly nature are further assets I would bring to the job. I am lead
lecturer at Bournemouth and Poole College, lecturing in subjects covering
Microbiology, Biology, Human Movement, Cellular biology, Genetics, and
work placement ethics, Crime Scene Investigation, Forensics,
Anthropology, and Archaeology. I teach the Health and Medical Science
adult students alongside the adult Social Workers in the Access courses.
During my work with the College I have also continued to work in the
restaurant industry, gaining more qualifications and continuing to be the
Health and Safety co-ordinator in both of the roles. I am a fully qualified
biological and forensic anthropologist and archaeologist, which I continue
to develop in my holiday time, training the Bournemouth University
students in the field. I am the Health and Safety advisor on site and off
site. I have taken students to Bulgaria, France, Germany, Belgium and
many places across the U.K., This is a passionate hobby of mine which I
will continue work commitments and holiday time permitting. I have
experience in the community and caring sector, although it has been a
while since I have been “on the ground” I trained when first leaving school
in a care home with dementia patients and undertook a short course on
embalming, which I continue to have contact with and take students on
regular behind the scenes training. I have also worked as a home care
assistant for a year when I first moved to Dorset but returned to College
to gain more qualifications since then.
SKILLS
I am able to learn at a fast pace, Work well independently and within a
team, communicates effectively with others and completes tasks set on
time with precision and professionalism. I have a proven ability as an

2000 - 2013 Manager of Bay Restaurant,
Managing up to 12 staff on shift throughout the Easter and summer
holidays, continuing to work as needed throughout the year. I have never
had a complaint from either customers or staff concerning my conduct.
My duties included ordering stock, rotation of stock, cooking for
customers, meeting the needs of other members of staff, closing the
restaurant, cashing up, locking up, securing the building and keeping my
set of keys safe. I also acted as the Health and Safety coordinator and
food hygiene advisor for all members of staff. I was also a lead researcher
for the business owners who decided to set up and develop a new
business in Swanage. I conducted market research for the types of goods
that sell well and attended numerous retail events to source goods at an
excellent price, I also advised on the location of the premises and once
purchased helped with the development and managed the shop fitting
process, with a budget. The business has now been running for 4 years
and has been a huge success, with an excellent profit margin, allowing
the owners to now consider setting up in Spain, which we have been to

organised onsite training with them so staff did not need to attend the

I acted as supervisor under Timothy Darvill for a five week
excavation at Cirencester, Wiggold. This responsibility also included
running the camp site during the evenings. In this time, I excavated a
Neolithic enclosure, a round house and sampled magnetic susceptibility
across the site (reference can be provided). I was in charge of allocating
teams to the 53 test pits used for magnetic susceptibility and meeting the
second year supervisors, making sure they were on track for the deadline
and happy with their work. In addition to this, I had the role of updating
and logging the finds as they were excavated and recording total station
