Beginning Monday, April 6 through Friday, May 15, school districts must complete the
2015 Annual Collection of Building Data. District staff will report facility building data
through the Information and Condition of Schools (ICOS) in the OSPI Educational Data
System (EDS). The data results are expected to provide important information for the
Legislature to address the facility/classroom needs and financial impacts of all-day
kindergarten and class size reduction targets.
It is advisable that before April 6th, district staff view previously reported building data in
order to verify the district’s current inventory of school facilities, buildings, and
classrooms, as well as building condition and school codes. District staff may access
the District Building Information Report in ICOS. (Note: permission is needed to log on
to the EDS ICOS system. If you do not have an EDS account/login, contact your
district’s Data Security Manager. See below for further instructions.)
OSPI staff will hold two K20 videoconferences for training and technical support for the
Annual Collection of Building Data. Please email an RSVP in order to participate in the
videoconference to kim.beaulieu@k12.wa.us.
