Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and certification in Music Education with experience in
classroom music instruction; strong classroom management skills are a plus!
Eugenio Maria de Hostos is a public charter school. The K-3 building is located at
1069 Joseph Ave and the 4-8th building is located at 938 Clifford Avenue. Classes
generally run from around 11:00 - 4:30pm. Each class consists of about 25
students. There is a chorus with about 60 students mainly from 4th and 5th
grade.

Music at Trinity Montessori is an Orff based program. Classes include 6 classes of
pre-school music, ages 3-5, one elementary class with grades 1-3, and an upper
elementary class, grades 4-6. Recorder is taught in the Upper Elementary class.
Classes follow an Orff curriculum, teaching music concepts through rhythmic
speech, folk songs and dance, listening and non-pitched and pitched
instrumentation.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and certification in Music Education with experience with
choral conducting and work with children’s voices; piano skills.
The Hochstein Little Singers is a training choir for young children. The class meets
on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. Rehearsal includes ear training,
note reading exercises, rehearsal of concert material and movement training.
Class size ranges from 16 -40.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education preferred, with experience with Early
Childhood. Classes include infant-toddler classes with caregiver present and
classes of four-six year olds. Classes meet on Wed. morning and afternoon, and
Saturday mornings.
