Pasta with Garlic and Olive Oil
½ cup pasta per person
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup olive oil
1 clove garlic, sliced or 1 rounded teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes or 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Bring a large, covered pot of water to a boil.
Add ½ teaspoon salt.
Measure ½ cup pasta per person.
Add the pasta to the water and cook uncovered for approximately 11
minutes.
5. Drain the cooked pasta into the colander and then place into a glass bowl.
6. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a skillet. (Use #4 on the stove.)
7. Add the garlic to the oil.
8. With a wooden spoon stir the garlic slightly. Remove the pan from the heat
when the garlic turns a pale golden brown and you can smell the garlic. (Do
not brown the garlic!)
9. Add the parsley, salt and pepper.
10. Toss this mixture over the cooked pasta in the glass bowl. Stir until well
combined.
11. Serve in bowls with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Yield: 4 servings.
