Currently working on my Masters’ thesis under the guidance of Prof. Sohyung Cho Ph.D, Associate Professor of
Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The research is aimed at
developing a low cost ‘Teach and Playback’ interactive robotic device, to evaluate and train novice surgeons to
operate a complex yet novel robotic system called the ‘DaVinci Robot’, a state of the art robotic surgery assistant, to
perform Minimally Invasive and Laproscopic surgeries.
 ROBOT TIC-TAC-TOE ~ Grad

Developed an interactive system to play a complete game of Tic Tac Toe for the term project under the guidance of
Prof. Sohyung Cho Ph.D, Associate Professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the Southern Illinois
University Edwardsville, to demonstrate Robotic communication and collaboration. The system consisted of ABB’s IRB140 Industrial Robot, two Robix kits built with six degrees of freedom each, a vision system, a central controller with
game logic programmed in Visual Basic and a self-developed communication protocol.
 Analyzing the Supply Chain and Logistics of Schnucks’ Super Market chain, USA ~ Grad

As part of the class of Supply Chain and Logistics Systems, the term project included Analyzing the Supply Chain and
Logistics of Schnuck’s Super Market Chain (currently ranked at #1 in the privately owned grocery businesses category
by Forbes) as a team of five, under the supervision of Mr. Bill Sanders, Vice President of Logistics, Schnucks and
Prof. Xin Chen, Ph.D, Associate professor of Industrial Engineering at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In
connection with the same, we had visited the Schnucks headquarters in St. Charles, USA and its adjoining Regional
distribution center several times to closely study the inner operations of the organization’s Supply Chain and Logistics
division. After thorough analysis, we had presented to them various suggestions and recommendations like changes in
their Logistics, potential acquisitions, Optimized placement of future distribution centers etc.
 Prototype of a Plant-wide process using Programmable Logic Controllers ~ Grad

As a part of the Advanced PLC programming class, the term project included designing and building a prototype for a
Plant-wide process using Programmable Logic Controllers, under the guidance of Prof. Kevin Hubbard, Ph.D, Professor
of Manufacturing Engineering at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the Director of Southwest Illinois
Advanced Manufacturing Center (SIAM), USA.
 FINAL YEAR MAJOR PROJECT (Model Based) ~ Undergrad Senior Design
 Built a Hardware model, titled Automation of Electrical Home Appliances Using the Internet, towards the fulfillment
of academic “Mini project” criterion, under the guidance of Prof. Narasa Reddy, Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE, CVR
College of Engineering.
 UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH (Requires submission of thesis) ~Undergrad

