BSN-Completion Professional Pathways Program
Wisconsin Technical College’s and Viterbo University
Professional Pathways allows opportunities for Wisconsin Technical College nursing students to complete general
education courses, which may allow a seamless pathway into the BSN Completion program at Viterbo University.
There are two pathway options for associate degree nursing students.
 Professional Nursing Bridge – for nursing students in the second semester of nursing core courses at a
Wisconsin Technical College
 Professional Steps – for nursing students waiting to start the nursing core courses at a Wisconsin
Technical College
To apply: The following enrollment requirements must be completed and this form must be signed by the Associate
Dean at your college’s nursing program. In addition, students will need to complete the online application for
admission form at (https://applynow.viterbo.edu/Admissions/pages/welcome.aspx)

This pathway is designed to be completed after the second semester of the technical college’s nursing core
courses. Students are eligible to take up to two courses for financial aid through their home technical college. The
courses will count as electives for the Technical College nursing program.
____ NLN or TEAS exam reviewed by the Technical
College Associate Dean of Nursing
____ Transcripts of all lower level courses reviewed by
Technical College Associate Dean of Nursing;
minimum 3.0 GPA
____ All official transcripts from Technical College,
and all other college/universities to be mailed
to Viterbo’s Center for Adult Learning
____ Financial aid to be completed at Technical
College and “Consortium Agreement” signed

Professional Steps
This pathway is designed for students waiting to start nursing core courses at the technical college. Students will
be eligible to apply for financial aid at Viterbo.
____ Transripts of all lower level courses reviewed by the
Technical College Associate Dean of Nursing;
minimum 3.0 GPA
____ All official transcripts from Technical College, and all
other college/universities to be mailed to
Viterbo’s Center for Adult Learning
____ Completed Anatomy and Physiology and either
Advanced Anatomy and Physiology or
Microbiology; minimum grade of “C” in both
courses
____ 15 credits of general education requirements
completed, to include: Written Communication,
Speech, Sociology, Psychology, & Developmental
Psych; minimum 3.0 GPA
*To remain a student in the Pathway Programs, a minimum of 3.0 GPA must be maintained.

Once this form is completed and you have submitted the online application for admission form you will work with Viterbo’s Center for
Adult Learning Staff to assist you with registration.
Professional Pathway Viterbo Course Offerings
All courses listed are condensed 8 week courses meeting online. Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to
remain in the selected pathway.
Select no more than 2 courses per semester:
English 307 – Argumentative Writing – upper division, 3 credits
Math 130 – Introduction to Statistics – lower division, 3 credits
Fine Arts – lower division, 3 credits
History – upper division, 3 credits
Philosophy – upper division, 3 credits
English Literature – upper division, 3 credits
Religious Studies – upper division, 3 credits (may only take 3 of 6 credits needed)
Please note: For both pathways listed above, neither school can verify attendance (or attendance status) for financial aid, loan
deferment, insurance, or other needs, based on combined institutional attendance, i.e. neither institution
can verify full-time student status by combining registered credits from both schools.
