I have read the rules and accept the decision of the Judges as final and elect to use the pit area in its
present condition. I understand I must attend driver’s meeting prior to Derby or driver will be
disqualified. I agree to have my car in the initial staging area or the Derby Pit Area as follows, or I will be
ineligible to run:

I hereby fully understand that I am participating in the Demolition Derby at my own risk and further, that
the Burford Agricultural Society or Wrayzers Edge Motorsports will not be held responsible for any
personal injury or property damage incurred or resulting from participating in the Demolition Derby.
ENTRY FEE: $40.00 to accompany entry. Registration day on Saturday September 19 and
Saturday October 3 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Fairgrounds Office.

The Demolition Derby for the 2014 Burford Fall Fair will be held as follows:
SHOW DATE:
Sunday, October 11, 2015
SHOW TIME:
3:00 P.M.
VEHICLE ENTRY: Between 1:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. at the North Gate on Park
Avenue (by library, across from East Andrew Street).
The Show will be subject to the following rules:
1. The 2015 Derby will feature a maximum of 15 entries of trucks
2. The Derby will consist of the following:
 One heat; winner takes all
3. All entries must be submitted and registered by 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 11, 2015. If room
exists for additional entries after 1:00 P.M., the entries may be accepted at the discretion of the
Burford Fall Fair.
4. Prize Monies and Awards for the 2015 Derby are as follows:
 Prize Money will be paid to the Winner and Runner-up for the Heat.
 Prize Money will be paid for First and Second place of the Truck Heat.
 An Over-all Trophy will be presented to the Winner of the Truck Heat.
5. All vehicles must enter through the North Gate on Park Avenue across from the
East Andrew Street (by library).
6. All vehicles must be in the Pit Area and confirmed to be in attendance by
2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 11, 2015. Individuals arriving after 2:00 P.M. will be disqualified and
cannot participate in the Derby.
7. Upon arrival in the Pit Area., each entrant must report to the "Registration Vehicle" located adjacent
to the Grass Horse Ring. At that time, all entry numbers will be "thrown into a hat" and the draw will
occur to assign competitors to each Heat.
All decisions of the Judges will be final and are not appealable.

Wrayzers Edge Motorsports Demolition Derby
The Demolition Derby is promoted as an unusual spectator attraction. In its interest of safety, anyone
entering is subject to, and must obey the following rules and regulations which are set up by the promoter
and the track where it is being held.
a) Each driver must fill out an entry blank. All drivers must supply their own cars, only one entry per
person. Proof of ownership should accompany each car entered.
b) Each driver must be 17 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license.
c) The Burford Agricultural Society reserves the right to approve or reject any and all entries.
d) Only drivers and mechanics who sign the release sheet will be permitted in the Pit Area or on
the track. Driver and one pit man receive free pit passes upon registration of truck on day of
show. No spectators allowed in Pit Area.
e) The Burford Agricultural Society will not be responsible for any vehicles, parts, or personal property
before, during or after the show.

TYPE OF TRUCK
Any full size truck. No 4-wheel drives.
PREPARATION OF TRUCK
ALL REMOVAL OF PARTS AND ADJUSTMENTS MUST
BE MADE BEFORE ARRIVING AT THE FAIRGROUNDS
1. All glass including windshield, side windows, rear windows, headlights and tail lights must be
removed. Rolling windows down is not permitted.
2. Chrome molding strips and the bottom portion of rear seats must be removed.
3. Any sharp protruding fins or dangerous objects must be either mashed down or cut off.
4. No special bumpers, reinforcements, fabrications, or trailer hitches are permitted.
5. Welded solid or chained down engine mounts are recommended. No frame plates or welding of
frames.
6. Radiators, transmission coolers and heaters must remain in original position or be taken off.
7. Roll over bars or roll cages are allowed, but are not necessary.
8. All doors must be fastened shut by wire, straps, or welded for the driver’s safety.
9. Only one 12-volt battery is allowed. It must be moved to the passenger side and securely fastened and
BOLTED to the floor board – no plumber straps or bungie cords.
10. Cutting fenders for wheel clearance only is permissible and ends of bumpers may be cut off.
11. Hood must be fastened down in 4 places; trunk or tailgate must be fastened down in 4 places with
only 2 strands of wire through each hole. No chains, bolts, pins, or cables can be used. No welds on
hood, trunk or tailgate. Officials’ decision on overuse of wire. May use 2 threaded rod up from rad
support mounts.
12. Entire driver’s door and passenger door must be painted white with no numbers painted thereon. All
other parts of the car must be non-white colour.
13. Stock gas tank must be removed and portable one or two gallon gas tank (e.g. marine) to be securely
bolted or welded to the rear floor. No larger gas tanks or electric fuel pumps permitted. Metal
strapping used for plumbing purposes is not permitted. The metal bar or strapping must be sufficient
to withstand jarring. Decisions by Derby Officials are final and are not appealable. Make sure that
the restraining system is satisfactory prior to arrival at Fairgrounds. Fuel lines from gas tank to fuel
pump must run inside the car.
14. Auto must be swept clean. No junk tires, wheels, metal parts, glass, etc. are allowed in car.
15. Each car must be signed-in at least 2.5 hours prior to show time to be inspected.
16. It is recommended that the driver’s door be reinforced inside with steel bar, angle iron, or pipe.
Length not to exceed more than 8” (eight inches) on either end of driver’s door. No concrete
reinforcing is allowed.
17. It is mandatory that an opening be cut in hood over carburetor, approximately 8” (eight inches)
square. Hood may be removed.
18. Double tires allowed, no tomotor tires, low aggression.
19. A strong wire mesh screen is recommended on driver’s window and windshield area. Plexiglass is
permitted in driver’s windshield (although Lexan is recommended). No A-Frames – one bar from
roof to dash cowl only.
20. Any car visibly leaking fuel will be immediately disqualified.
21. If car is hung up on barrier, a 10 (ten) second time limit will be allotted, after such time, car will be
disqualified. No deliberate pushing over barrier. Decisions will be made by Officials.
22. No all-white cars permitted.
23. No pre-painted numbers on doors or car. Numbers will be assigned and painted by Fair personnel on
Show Day.
24. Stock suspension for car is required. No substitutions of leaf springs for coil or vice versa. No frame
plates or welding allowed. You may run a Chevy motor in a Ford but no excessive welding including
rear end or rear end protectors.
RUNNING
1. Safety belt and C.S.A. approved helmet with goggles or face shield are required.
2. Fire extinguisher is required in all competitors’ cars in the drivers’ compartment within hand reach of
the driver.
3. NO deliberate head-on collision and NO deliberate hitting on the driver’s door.
4. Vehicle must have dependable brakes at all times and boundaries must be observed. Any car which
passes outside of the boundaries for any reason will be immediately disqualified.
5. No drinking of, or alcoholic beverages on track, emergency vehicle area, or in the pit area. Any
driver or pit man under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be immediately disqualified and
removed from the Fairgrounds.
6. No cars are permitted in the competition area before the heat in which they are to participate.
7. A vehicle will be immediately disqualified if the driver’s door comes open during a heat.
8. A 30-second time limit is enforced by the track officials for re-start and making competitive contact
with another car. Hits must be aggressive. Simple contact within the time limit does not constitute
combat and would be considered sandbagging.
9. All vehicles either abandoned or left on any part of the Fairgrounds that is used for the conduct of the
Demolition Derby after the expiration of one hour from the conclusion of the final heat will be towed
away at the owner’s/driver’s expense. The owner/driver of any such vehicle shall be responsible for
any and all loss or damage occasioned by said vehicle immediately upon the conclusion of the final
heat of the Demolition Derby.
10. A $25.00 protest fee is required to contest another vehicle.
Additional safety regulations may be imposed by the Burford Agricultural Society, depending on the
track, and must be followed.
The Derby will be composed of individual heats and one feature, with cash prizes going to the winner and
runner-up of each heat. The winner, runner-up and second runner-up from each heat then compete in the
feature heat to determine the feature trophy winner.
Title (ownership) must be turned in on all cars left for junk!
