Dear John
Re: Managing adaptation in resilient towns and cities
We read your draft proposal for the above project with much interest and would like to express Anglian
Water’s support for the project. I can also confirm that we would be willing to review the frameworks that
you are proposing to develop and be involved in relevant groups, in the event that the proposal is
successful.
Anglian Water supplies water to 1.9 million households, and collects and treats wastewater from 2.4 million
households, in the East of England. We are one of ten water and wastewater companies in England and
Wales.
We believe the project aims of ‘developing and demonstrating the use of frameworks for sharing
knowledge and experience in those aspects of the built, natural and water environments that are relevant
to the management of the water and waste within urban communities’ will indeed help organisations such
as ourselves to better access and process mainstreaming research and innovation.
We wish you success with this worthwhile initiative.
Yours sincerely
Mandy Fletton
Environmental Regulation Manager, Anglian Water
