Clean sink and drain/plughole Polish taps and remove any scaling Clean and bleach toilet inside and out Clean splash backs / tiles where applicable Clean mirrors and shelves o o Check bathroom extractor fan works and check grill for dust Clean floor with the correct substance General o o o o o o o o o o o o Clean floors and skirting boards (ensure there is no hair anywhere) Mop any hard floors with the correct substance for the type of floor There should be no rubbish remaining in the property, you will be charged for any removal of rubbish Where applicable check remotes have batteries Check your inventory and make sure no items are damaged or missing Any additional items must be removed Check smoke detectors work and replace batteries where necessary Check all light bulbs are replaced Check extractor fans are clean and working Clean all carpets and flooring are clean and dust free. Any stains should be removed with a professional carpet clean Clean windows inside and out (if not an apartment) and window ledges All tenanted properties are non smoking properties. Leaving the property o o o o Return keys as instructed. This will either be to an agent meeting you at the property or given back to the letting agent. Lock all windows and doors Turn off all lights You must photograph the metre readings and ensure any balance is cleared prior to your tenancy ending. External o o o Check wheelie bins are not over flowing and only filled with rubbish. Rubble/garden waste is not appropriate Check garage/sheds where applicable make sure these have been cleared and locked The garden should have been maintained throughout your tenancy.
