Bob Walters, Biographical Sketch Scientific Sessions Speaker, at 8th Annual WV Chestnut Festival Title: The art of working with chestnut wood. Bob Walters grew up in Davis in Tucker County. Education. After graduating from Mountaineer High School, he attended Fairmont State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in industrial arts. He also earned a master’s degree in technology education from WVU. Positions, He taught technology education in the public schools of Tucker, Preston, and Monongalia counties for 39 years. Bob retired in 2004. He is the father of three children and has two grandsons and two granddaughters. He enjoys playing music and continues to find pleasure in woodworking, a craft he learned originally from his grandfather. His topic as Scientific Sessions Speaker is, “The Art of Working with Chestnut Wood.”
