Smart Wireless Day was held at the Reliance Refinery in Jamnagar.

The refinery at Jamnagar was commissioned on 14 July 1999 with an installed capacity
of 661,000 barrels per day (105,100 m3/d). It is the largest refinery in the world.
Smart Wireless Day was a full day action packed event with interactive sessions on Smart
Wireless technology, Wireless Product portfolio, applications and the solutions to the pain points
normally faced in Refineries and Petrochemical plants. There were also live demonstrations of
technology in action.
It showcased the wireless capabilities of various divisions of Emerson Process Management,
India – Rosemount, Analytical, Topworx, Fisher, RTG, Asset Optimization.
90 customers from various departments such as Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation
across the Jamnagar refinery attended the full day event. The agenda was as follows:

Towards the end of the Wireless Day, various technical discussions were initiated by Mr. Y.P.
Buch – Senior V.P and Mr. V.L. Jadeja – V.P, which were very convincingly answered by our
Wireless Experts Mr. Robert Graston and Mr. Atmakury Harish.
The event was sealed with a discussion on trail setup of 100 nos. acoustic transmitters for Steam
Trap Monitoring in RIL.
All the attendees had a wonderful knowledge gaining session and at the end of it also
recommended some wireless applications they would be interested in deploying in their plant.
