New Faculty Teaching Enhancement Program, Fall 2015

NFTEP is open to all first-year faculty who are interested in college/university teaching. Criteria include:
commitment to quality teaching, openness to exploring a variety of aspects of higher education, and interest
in interacting with and learning from faculty from other disciplines. If you wish, you may reformat this
application form using your own word processing, or email cte@MiamiOH.edu for a copy of the application
form. Return this to cte@MiamiOH.edu by email from your own Miami University email account, to
serve as your electronic signature.

NFTEP members will:
 attend a total of 8 teaching-relevant events during one semester offered by: the NFTEP program, or
the Center for Teaching Excellence, or the Howe Writing Center, or CTL in Middletown or
Hamilton, or on technology topics offered by King Library or eLearning, or up to 4 at the Lilly
Conference on College Teaching
 write a one-page reaction paper about each session they attend, and a brief summary at end of term
 complete a teaching project, e.g., a syllabus revision and reflective statement
 receive a certificate of recognition and $400 for professional expenses (to be spent before June 1)
