Boys Town Louisiana Partners with Whole Foods for Refresh Project For Immediate Release – Friday, February 14, 2014 New Orleans, LA- Boys Town Louisiana is announcing their participation in the Whole Foods ReFresh Project and will have a presence in the ReFresh Project building on Broad Street beginning in March of this year. The ReFresh Project is a product of the Whole Cities Foundation, which aims to work with community groups to improve wellness nationwide. Boys Town Louisiana joins other tenants in the new ReFresh Project building including: Liberty's Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides culinary training to youths and meals to public schools, and Tulane University's Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine, one of the country's first teaching kitchens associated with a medical school. Boys Town Louisiana joins the ReFresh Project with 24 years of experience and expertise in children and family health in the Louisiana community. Boys Town Louisiana has been making a name for themselves in health and wellness in the community this year with the dedication of the new Humana Fitness Trail and Garden on the Boys Town Louisiana campus. “We saw this opportunity to partner with quality organizations who serve youth and families. The ReFresh project will allow us to serve more children and families and intensify the work we do,” said Dennis Dillon, Executive Director of Boys Town Louisiana. At-risk children find a safe place to live through Boys Town Louisiana’s Foster Family ServicesSM, including the Host Home program that provides short-term emergency care.
