MONDAYS:
BUCKET DRUMMING with Anthony Pinciotti
Anthony says: “Come get your funk on as we play grooves and improvise on one of the greatest instruments known to man: The Bucket.”
FRENCH with Willy Antione
An engaging class with activities such as role playing, dialogue, language games, literature, film and other exercises proved effective in
teaching foreign languages and inspiring a curiosity and desire to learn in students.
HIP HOP with Natasha Marwick
Learn all the latest Hip Hop, Whacking, Breaking and Street Dance moves in this high energy, and fun filled class.
TUESDAYS:
MOVIE MAKING with Lisa Anderson
Students will develop fundamental acting skills in a fun and supportive environment. Acting exercises will involve the imagination, focus,
and story telling. From this foundation, they will build characters, write a script, perform and create a short collaborate film, which they
will light, block and shoot themselves. At the end of the session they will receive a DVD of it to take home.
FITNESS THROUGH GAMING with Jason Zucker (Mr. Jason)
By using the Xbox 360 Kinect system students will burn calories, work their bodies and improve their overall fitness, all by the use of the
thing kids love most, VIDEO GAMES!!
ARTS & CRAFTS with Lauren Goodrich
With the emphasis on Art! This class will contain a wide variety of Art projects: building clay sculptures over a wire foundation, making
Pop-Up cards, to Water color washes and Jackson Pollock-style drip paintings, and much more. This class will entail all things creative.
WEDNESDAYS:
ARCHERY with FOAM-TIPS with Elizabeth Carian
Learn all the skills and techniques of Archery, using S.A.F.E Archery arrows that have foam tips. A fun and a great sport that
promotes focus, and fine tuned coordination where you’ll learn to hit your target, no mater what it may be.
INDOOR FLOOR HOCKEY with Joseph Abrahante
Using the abundant space in the Cafeteria, this class will be filled with fun drills to practice offensive and defensive skills that they will be
using during competitive and exciting team games at the end of every session.
THURSDAYS:
GUITAR with Eric Rosenberg
Learn the fundamentals of playing guitar while exploring basic music theory and music appreciation and developing of a good practice
ethic.
COMEDY with Daniel Gulbin
Exploring famous Comedians and Comedy acts from past to present, students will learn diverse comic techniques and styles, from Stand
up, Sketches, Improv, to Slap Stick, and explore and develop their own comic abilities and material.
YOGA with Chi Chi Egbuna
Stretch and strengthen your whole body, work on balance and flexibility with this calming form of exercise that works every muscle in the
body, and leaves you feeling exhilarated and refreshed.
FRIDAYS:
TOY & GAME DESIGN with Karen Merbaum of Barking Cat Studio
Students will design and create a variety of toys and games. From stuffed toys to action figures, cause and effect games,
kinetic toys and board games, this class will teach kids how to come up with a concept and work it through finished prototype.
JIU JITSU: Bully-Proof Yourself with Jiu Jitsu with Murat Akinci
Jiu Jitsu is a defense-based, Brazilian Martial Art. Students will learn how to handle bullying and other confrontations verbally, and with
Jiu Jitsu, whose moves deflect attacks and render opponents powerless.
