About Professor Galvao Co-founder of the Atos Jiu Jitsu Academy, Professor André Galvão began training at the age 12 in judo then at the age of 14 he has dedicated his life to the art of jiu jitsu. With a competitive career spanning over two decades, Galvão is one of the highest achieving Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts in sport, both in his weight division and in the absolute weight division. He is a five-time IBJJF World Champion in the black belt division, won the 2011 ADCC Championship in his weight division and the absolute division, and has won the presticious ADCC Superfight FOUR times in a row.
