MATT BULMAN
DoB: 12/06/86 Birthplace: Bristol Position: Goalkeeper
Previous Clubs: Cirencester Town, Salisbury City (loan), Swindon Town
Profile: Matt signed for the club in the summer of 2008 from Cirencester Town and with Tom
King going in the opposite direction Matt had the first opportunity to make his mark at the club.
He certainly did that with some impressive performances from the start to the finish of the
season winning the Manager's and Player's Player of the Year awards. Many pundits believe
Matt should be playing at a higher level and again this pre-season he was targeted by higher
placed clubs but declined all offers to remain at 'Marine'. The management team are extremely
glad and excited that he has signed for the club again this season. Before joining Cirencester he
was at Swindon Town but was released in the summer of 2007. Matt is an excellent keeper,
extremely confident and his presence oozes confidence across the defence in front of him. His
kicking is second to none, always looking to set a quick counter attack and he is very effective
with this.
KYLE LAPHAM
DoB: 05/01/86 Birthplace: Swindon Position: Defender
Previous Clubs: Cirencester Town, Swindon Town
Profile: Kyle signed for the club in August 2006 from Cirencester Town where he spent a
season after he was released by Swindon Town in the summer of 2005. Kyle has proved to be
an great signing for the club and has had three excellent seasons and was made captain during
his first season at the club. He is a good leader, a solid defender with good defensive abilities
and reads the game very well. He also possesses good technique and will always look to pass
the ball out of defence and set up play. The end of the 2008/9 season was curtailed in March by
a serious knee injury but that hasn't stopped higher placed clubs showing an interest in him but
the management team are very pleased Kyle has signed for 'Marine' again this season.
DANNY ALLEN
DoB: 09/09/83 Birthplace: Swindon Position: Midfield / Defender
Previous Clubs: Didcot Town, Paulton Rovers, Forest Green Rovers
Profile: Danny signed for the club in February 2006 but had previously played at the club in the
late 1990's when he was part of the youth set up and played for the Swindon Supermarine
Academy side. He then embarked on a five-year spell with Conference club Forest Green
Rovers. During his time at Rovers he spent a loan spell at Southern League South & West side
Paulton Rovers before signing for them in 2004. Danny left Paulton just after Christmas 2004 to
join what were to be the Hellenic League champions and FA Vase winners that season, Didcot
Town. Danny is a good footballer with loads of ability, predominately a left sided player but he is
comfortable with the ball at both feet. Although comfortable in midfield his best performances
have come when he has been playing at left back. Danny always looks to keep the ball on the
floor and play a passing game into the forwards feet. Good in the tackle and not afraid to let fly
from around the box, particularly from free kicks.
LEIGH HENRY
DoB: 29/09/86 Birthplace: Swindon Position: Defender
Previous Clubs: Swindon Town, Bath City (Loan)
Profile: Leigh joined the club in February 2007 after being released by Swindon Town before
Christmas 2006. Whilst at Swindon he had loan spells with Bath City in the Southern League,
Weston-super-Mare and Newport County in the Conference South League. Leigh is a very
talented defender and has proved to be a great signing for the club since he signed him
February 2007, where after he played a major role in our promotion to the Premier Division via
the playoff's. An excellent couple of seasons followed with a number of solid performances.
These performances led to a lot of interest from other clubs during the past two pre-seasons but
the management team were very pleased that he signed for the 'Marine' once again this
season. Leigh has great ability and can play in defence or midfield but he looks most dominant
in defence where his best performances have come. He is comfortable with the ball at either foot
and very good in the air. His is a good reader of the game, his technical skills are excellent and
he will always grab a goal or two from set plays.
MATT ROBINSON
DoB: 23/12/74 Birthplace: Exeter Position: Defender
Previous Clubs: AFC Totton, Salisbury City, Forest Green Rovers, Oxford United, Reading,
Portsmouth, Southampton
Profile: Matt signed for the club in July 2007 after playing for AFC Totton last season and is a
very experienced defender having previously played in the football league. He began his career
at Southampton as a trainee in July 1991 before signing as a professional in 1993. He only
made a handful of appearances at The Dell before joining Portsmouth for £50,000 in February

Reading in a £150,000 deal in January 2000. He then played another 75 league and cup games

Oxford, Robinson amassed 192 games in just over four years. Another free transfer took him to
Forest Green Rovers in September 2006 where he made more than a dozen Conference
appearances. On December 14th 2006 he joined Salisbury City on a part-time basis as he
trained to be a police officer. After a successful period with Salisbury City Robinson left the club
and signed for AFC Totton in February 2009.
DAVE BAMPTON
DoB: 05/05/85 Birthplace: Swindon Position: Defender
Previous Clubs: Worcester City, Tamworth, Swindon Town

the end of February 2010. Swindon born Bampton is 24-years-old and made three senior

the Conference League in May 2005 where he became a fans favourite over the next four
seasons, playing in the FA Cup tie with Stoke City in the 2005/06 season. His performances
prompted a selection for the England Non-League side but injury prevented him making his
debut. At the start of the 2008/09 season he signed for Worcester City of the Conference South
before being released at the start of the season due to a cost cutting exercise at the club. He
had been training with the first team squad at Hunts Copse for a number of weeks prior to
signing to approve his fitness. His full match was at Truro City at the start of March where he
was excellent and put in a man of the match performance.

to 'Marine' for his latest spell in October 2008. He was at Swindon Town for a number of years
after signing schoolboy forms and progressing through to play in the reserves on a regular basis.
Predominately left footed but he is comfortable with the ball at both feet. He is an great passer of
the ball and is technically an excellent player who likes to get forward to support the attack and
score what is often a spectacular goal from long range.

Previous Clubs: Mangotsfield United, Salisbury City, Chippenham Town, Cirencester Town,
Profile: Gary first signed for the club team in 1995 having progressed through youth set up and
eventually into the first team squad that played in the Hellenic League at the time. He was one of
the most influential players of the 1997/98 squad that won the Hellenic Premier Championship
under the management ship of Don Rogers and John Fisher before leaving for what was a
higher standard of football at the time with Cirencester Town. Gary then went on to play for
Chippenham Town for a number of seasons before shorter spells at Salisbury City and
Mangotsfield United before resigning for the club at the end of November 2007. He is technically
a very good footballer and is always looking to play the ball on the floor and link up with the
forwards.
CHRIS TAYLOR
DoB: 30.10.85 Birthplace: Swindon Position: Midfield
Position: Midfield Previous Clubs: Swindon Town, Newport County (loan)
Profile: Chris signed for the club in August 2006 after being released by Swindon Town after
being with them from a schoolboy and playing regularly for the reserves until his release. Chris is
a left sided midfield player and enjoys nothing more than supporting the forwards. His ability on
the ball is brilliant at times. He can unlock the tightest of defences by either going past players or
with some exceptional passing. This has been evident in all three seasons for the club as he
plays to his strengths on nearly every occasion he takes to the field. His performances gets
better when he's enjoying his football and at these times some opposition have found him
unplayable. Another player whispered to have admirers at a high level but the management
team are extremely happy he has signed for 'Marine' once again this season.
NICK STANLEY
DoB: 15/07/86 Birthplace: Swindon Position: Midfield / Forward
Previous Clubs: Cirencester Town, Devizes Town, Chippenham Town
Profile: Nick signed for the club in March 2008 from neighbours Cirencester Town. Before that
he was at Devizes Town, for whom he scored a spectacular goal against us when Devizes held
us to a draw in a 2006/07 FA Cup tie. Nick is a hard working a player who always looks to
unsettle the oppositions defence. He has good movement on the pitch and is always willing to
run the channels, with good technical skills he will always be keen to take on the defence to
create a goalscoring opportunity. Had a great 2008/09 season where he was most consistent
with a number of excellent and exciting performances on the left flank.
CHRIS ALLEN
DoB: 03/01/89 Birthplace: Devizes Position: Midfield
Previous Clubs: Weymouth, Swindon Town
Profile: Devizes born Allen began his junior career with his local Devizes under-9s team before
joining the youth set-up at Swindon Town where manger Mark Collier was his coach at times
during his earlier career at the Town. He captained Swindon's youth team to the quarter-final
stages of the 2007 FA Youth Cup when they were defeated by Newcastle after extra time. The
then Swindon Manager Paul Sturrock offered Allen a two-year professional deal which was
signed in May 2007. He made his Swindon Town debut in the 4–1 win against Brentford in the
Football League Trophy in September 2007 and made his Football League debut three months
later on 8 December when he started for the away game against Southend United which
Swindon won 2–1. Chris made a total 16 appearances in first-team competitions for the Town
before being released last May 2009. He with Exeter City before this season but no deal was
forthcoming and he signed for Conference South club Weymouth on non-contract terms in
August 2009 before joining Marine at the end of February 2010.
LUKE HOPPER
DoB: 16/03/89 Birthplace: Devizes Position: Forward
Previous Clubs: Chippenham Town, Swindon Town
Profile: Luke signed for the club in the summer of 2008 from Chippenham Town for whom he
joined in the summer of 2007 from Swindon Town. He is a central striker and possesses good
ability on the ball with excellent close control and will always look to lay the ball off to his
colleagues. Although not the tallest of forwards he gets up well to challenge the tallest of centre
halves and will be competitive throughout the game. Was on the bench more often and not in his
first season but will be working hard for a chance to cement a regular place in the starting eleven
this season.
SAM MORRIS
DoB: 17/12/89 Birthplace: Swindon Position: Midfield
Previous Clubs: Swindon Town
Profile: Sam first signed for the club in March 2009 from Swindon Town on a one-month loan
deal and again in July 2009 after his release from Swindon earlier in the summer. Sam can play
in either defence or midfield but his preferred position in the centre of midfield. Manager Mark
Collier coached the teenager at Swindon Town’s Centre of Excellence nearly a decade ago and
was keen to secure the services of the former Town Reserve regular. He possesses a high level
of fitness and is a good all-round footballer.
ASHLEY EDENBOROUGH
DoB: 29/05/86 Birthplace: Gloucester Position: Forward
Previous Clubs: Fairford Town
Profile: Ashley was previously with Fairford Town and signed for the club in the summer of 2007
after coming along to pre-season training looking for an opportunity. The management team saw
enough to suggest that Ashley had the ability to progress and play a part in what was then the
club's first season in the Southern League Premier Division. Although inexperienced at Southern
League level Ashley quickly settled in to play a vital role in the squad in his first season and
scored eleven and some crucial goals along the way. This was equalled last season with ten
more goals to his name. Ashley is very quick and possesses a good engine, always shutting
down defenders and working extremely hard for the team.
ROBERT HOBBS
DoB: 23/05/89 Birthplace: Bath Position: Defender / Midfield
Previous Clubs: Team Bath, Cheltenham Town
Profile: Robert signed for the club in October 2009. He has previously played for Team Bath
before they were disbanded in the summer of 2009 having joined them in the previous summer
from Cheltenham Town where he made 60 appearances at reserve team and youth level. He
briefly played for Mangotsfield United on loan in February 2009 from Team Bath. During the
2009 pre-season he trained with Chippenham Town but never signed for them and before
signing for Supermarine he had been training with Weymouth and playing for the University side
this season in the University League. Robert made his debut against Abingdon United in the Red
Insure Cup and can equally in defence or midfield. He is technically a good footballer with an
excellent work rate and engine that sees him get up and down the pitch when he plays in
midfield. He is strong in the tackle and likes nothing better than passing the ball around the pitch.
CHRIS ALLEN
DoB: 03/01/89 Birthplace: Devizes Position: Midfield
Previous Clubs: Weymouth, Swindon Town
Profile: Devizes born Allen began his junior career with his local Devizes under-9s team before

Football League Trophy in September 2007 and made his Football League debut three months
later on 8 December when he started for the away game against Southend United which
Swindon won 2–1. Chris made a total 16 appearances in first-team competitions for the Town
before being released last May 2009. He with Exeter City before this season but no deal was

point at championship chasing Evesham United. He quickly left for Cirencester Town and then
moved to Taunton Town where he scored a number of goals including a 'hat trick' in one game
against us. Manager Mark Collier made a number of attempts to re-sign Steve between 2006
and 2008 and at the start of last season he was successful. Steve played for club throughout the
2008/09 season but left in July 2009 and signed for Hungerford Town before returning at the
start of December 2009 for his third spell at Hunts Copse.
ASHAN HOLGATE

Previous Clubs: Newport County, Weston-super-Mare, Cirencester Town (loan), Eastleigh,
Weston-super- Mare, Swindon Town, Macclesfield (loan), Newport County (loan), Salisbury City
(loan), Basingstoke (loan),
Profile: Manager Mark Collier signed the former Swindon Town player from Newport County at
the end of February 2010. Ashan came to prominence at Swindon when he scored a goal at
Millwall in 2004 and that was followed by a couple of first team appearances the following
season when the Town were relegated. He then went out on a number of loan spells before he
was released from the Town in May 2007. He then signed for Weston-super-Mare before moving
to fellow Conference South club Eastleigh in November 2007. He was immediately loaned out to
Cirencester Town before returning to Eastleigh in March 2008. Ashan was then transferred back
to Weston that month and went straight back into first team action. Eighteen months later in
October 2009 he was transferred to Newport County until he was released in January 2010 and
signed for Marine the following month.
MARK BARNES
DoB: 11/11/86 Birthplace: Hitchin Position: Forward
Previous Clubs: Hitchin Town, Barton Rovers, Dunstable Town, Biggleswade Town, Langford
Profile: Mark signed for the club in July 2009 having previously been with Hitchin Town, for
whom he played against us in their 4-0 win at Swindon in April 2009. Having moved to Swindon
earlier in the year he continued to travel and play for Hitchin until the end of last season. The
management team were keen to sign Mark for this 2009/10 season and having spoken to him at
the end of the season he duly signed for 'Marine'. In that 4-0 defeat by Hitchin the management
team saw at first hand what a good forward he was, with great mobility around the pitch. Mark
had been Hitchin's leading goalscorer over the past two seasons and he also led the goalscoring
charts at his previous club Barton Rovers.
Management Team
MARK COLLIER
DoB: 21/04/59 Birthplace: Cricklade Position: Manager
Previous Clubs: Purton, Chippenham Town, Swindon Athletic
Profile: Before stepping into management Mark was a prolific goalscorer for Swindon Athletic
before they amalgamated with Supermarine in 1992. In January 2004 he took his first step into
senior management when he was appointed Assistant Manager to Tommy Saunders at Swindon
Supermarine, but this only lasted eight games and he was given the opportunity to manage the
side after Saunders resigned. At the time the side were in a precarious position as they fought
for their Southern League survival. The threat of relegation wasn't lifted until the final two games
of the seasons and the rest is history as within two seasons Mark and his assistant, Ian Howell,
led the team to promotion to the Southern League Premier Division. Mark’s inaugural season
finished on a high in 2005 season with 1-0 wins over promoted Ashford Town and a strong
Swindon Town side in the Wiltshire Premier Shield at the County Ground.
Prior to the promotion season in 2007 the team made the play-offs in the previous 2005/06
season with a fifth place finish in the league but lost 3-0 against a very strong Hemel Hempstead
Town side who were eventually promoted. The following season Mark brought the biggest
success to the club in its history when we battled our way to the league play-offs and
successfully defeated Burnham and Taunton Town to gain a place in the Southern League
Premier Division for the 2007/08 season. The management team disappointed a number of the
pundits in that inaugural season as we kicked off the season as relegation favourites but
completed the season with the team finishing in a very creditable 12th place. This was equalled
again last season and we also had an excellent FA Trophy run with the team reaching the last
16 of the competition. On the way the side defeated two Conference and only lost a close game
2-0 to then holders Ebbsfleet watched by over 3,700 spectators.
