Cost: $85 (Includes Continental Breakfast, Lunch, Refreshments and
2015 Membership in VFMA)
A focus of this year’s workshop will be the impact of recent FEMA re-mapping for
Coastal Storm Surges. We also will be covering the impacts of flood insurance reform,
dam safety and Dam Break Inundation Zones (DBIZ). Finally, we will be looking at the
Letter of Map Change (LMC) process.
Please complete one registration form per person as noted below. Registration is limited to the first 100 respondents
and must be received by Friday, October 10, 2014. Make checks payable to the “Virginia Floodplain Management
Association”. PayPal is accepted see the VFMA website. Late registrants may pay by check at the door, but should
confirm their attendance in advance by e-mail (drissmeyer@amtengineering.com). All registered workshop attendees
will receive an email on Monday, October 13, 2014, to confirm their registration. The planned workshop agenda may
also be found on Page 2 of this announcement.
VFMA will pre-certify the workshop with the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) for Certified
Floodplain Manager (CFM) Continuing Education Credits (5 CECs). A certificate for CECs will be provided at the
workshop.
