McLeod SWCD Board Meeting Minutes December 1, 2014
Meeting called to order by Chair Charles Mathews at 10:00 a.m.

MINUTES:
Motion by Schnobrich, seconded by Bolland to approve the minutes of the Nov 3, 2014 Board Meeting.

UPDATING TECHNICAL APPROVAL AUTHORITY (TAA)
This update was a result of our PRAP evaluation. Ryan updated his TAA with verification by the NRCS
DC as well as the NRCS ARC. The updated TAA will be retained in his personnel file.
Motion by Adamek, seconded by Schnobrich to approve Ryan’s updated TAA.

BWSR UPDATE:
Adam Bielke updated the board on BWSR activities. He reported that the BWSR Academy went well
and encouraged staff to attend if possible. June 2014 flooding damage will be presented to the legislature
in hopes of providing funding for several activities. SWCD’s will need to have reporting completed by
Feb. 1st, 2015.

A motion was made by Schultz to pay cost share on the above contracts #13-14, #6-14, #15-14, and #1414. seconded by Adamek.

MEETING UPDATES:
An update was given about the Area 6 meeting held in Courtland. Highlights from the meeting were
shared services discussion, nutrient reduction strategies, and conservation fee proposals. It was noted that
Area 6 will be planning the 2015 MASWCD convention.
2015 MCLEOD SWCD MEETING SCHEDULE:
The 2015 meeting schedule will be posted on the SWCD website as well as in the office.
A motion by Schnobrich to approve the 2015 SWCD meeting schedule. Seconded by Schultz.
