Emergency Management a.

EOC was activated Thursday night at a level 5. i.

Was upgraded to a level 4 Friday AM. ii.

Could not activate to a higher level, since most of the EOC staff members we busy accomplishing their missions. (Roads, Power, Utilities, Fire, Rescue,

Transportation) An due to unsafe driving conditions for the others. b.

EM has responded to 1 incident: i.

Stuck 18 wheeler in front of the school blocking all lanes of 231.

Notified the State TOC of the blockage (511). ii.

Worked 46 hours during the week of the snow storm, with additional 9 hours out in POV, monitoring roads and assisting Rescue. iii.

Maintained contact with the state using WEB-EOC.

Provided constant updates on status of roads, communication, services and emergencies along with road conditions. iv.

Received daily briefings from NWS and KYEM on storm status and resource tasking. v.

Updated daily by KSP on major hwy conditions and major vehicle accidents. vi.

Provided constant updates to the public via Facebook and the personnel of

WLBQ / Beechtree news. vii.

On Thursday we signed the declaration of emergency, within 30 minutes the state also declared.

Morgantown city has also signed a declaration of emergency.

Both documents are on file with the state.

viii.

Butler County Disaster Threshold reimbursement is 45,303.30.

This is the dollar amount that must be reached in order to qualify for assistance (FEMA), if a presidential declaration is signed. (FYI) ix.

No reports of power failures. x.

No reports of communication failures. xi.

No reports of city utilities or gas line failures. xii.

No shelters were required. xiii.

No weather related fatalities from Butler County reported.
