The Biology Department at Illinois Wesleyan University invites applications for an open rank,
tenure-line position in Animal Biology, to begin August 1, 2016. The successful candidate will
be responsible for teaching 1) topics in animal biology during an introductory biology course for
majors, 2) an upper division lab-based animal physiology course and 3) additional biology
courses in their field of expertise. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Biology or
related field and a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. The
development of a productive and engaging research program with undergraduates is expected.

university, located approximately 130 miles southwest of Chicago, and has 140 full-time faculty
