Why I'm So Special, A Book About Surrogacy
With Two Daddies, tackles a very difficult,
complicated subject in a sweet, whimsical way.
It is a lighthearted picture book on surrogacy
with two daddies. The book is a story that all
parents who used a surrogate may share with
their young children to let them know just how
special they are. This story is ultimately about
hope, perseverance, and lots of love

Rainbow Family: It

Anthony Hale
STORK M.I.A. is the first volume of this
self-published children's book series. It follows
the story of Dad and Dad, who were tired of
waiting for the Stork, and decided to find her
and ask for a baby. They search for the Stork
around the world, with the help of Mom and
Mom, turning this story into an adventure,
rather than a didactic book for children of
same gender couples.
"It only takes love to make a family." This
children's book is about the formation of a
non-traditional family. The characters are same
sex parents who created their family through a
combination of adoption and surrogacy. The
book presents the topic of a modern family in a
simple fun way geared towards children. The
characters are vividly colored animals
including: Daddy Dog, Papi Panda and the
children (Mikey Monkey and the three little
kitties: Adriana, Ave, and Alex). The book is
Amazon
ideal for children of same sex parents as well as
for parents who wish to educate their children
about the diversity of family structure.

A young girl describes her life with her two

fathers.
Told in rhyme, this story is written by a woman
who was the surrogate mother to a little girl
born for a gay male couple. With colorful
illustrations and few words, it is for very young
children describing a day in the life of this little
girl with her two dads, emphasizing that they
are a family. The story is not clear about
whether the author is a traditional or
gestational surrogate and any of the other
genetic questions regarding paternity.
Our society is changing. An increasing number
Amazon
of gay couples are having children through
adoption and surrogacy. At some point you
should explain to your child about
same-gender parents. I have written this book
as an educational tool to help people
understand that families come in a variety of
different combinations. If you can, please buy
two books - one for your child and one to give
away as a present or donation to a school or
library - so that, together, we can educate
parents, children and the community and make
the world a better place.

This children's book was inspired by Elton
Bank Street
John's concern over his son having two
homosexual dads and being born via surrogacy.
I understand children have nothing to do with
how they got here or their parent's or
guardian's choices or lifestyles, so I thought
this book, which is based on the real Elton
John, partner David Furnish and son Zachary,
would encourage love and compassion for
people who have different living arrangements,
and teach how love makes a family. I also
wrote this book to encourage tolerance,
acceptance and love for people who have
medical conditions like cancer, hemophilia and
HIV and AIDS. In order to take away the
negative stigma of surrogate moms, I wrote a
cute part about a duck who could not lay eggs
of her own, and how six of her friends got
together and each gave her an egg from their
own nest so she too could have a family I hope
this book does not offend any religious beliefs,
but promote love, compassion, acceptance and
tolerance of different people.

The cover of this book states that this is “a
book for every kind of family and every kind of
kid” and it truly is. In the most general of ways,
this book begins with the sperm and the egg
but in a brilliant turn asserts what has not been
asserted before in a children’s book, that some
bodies have sperm, and some do not, and that
some bodies have eggs, and others do not

Before You Were
Born…..Our Wish
for a Baby: The
Story Of Surrogacy
The "Before You Were Born" books were
created to help as many parents as possible.
Therefore, the illustrations are the same in
every book and are not related to the text. The
pictures show a typical day in the life of a child
interacting with their parent. It was our intent
to make the "parent" and "child" bears as
gender and ethnically ambiguous as possible.
We also wrote the books in such a way that
whichever parent is reading the story is the
"bear parent" speaking.
