The great depression had devastating effects on our country. The stock market and the nation’s banking system were devastated. In fact many banks could not continue to function and hundreds closed. Farmers fell into bankruptcy while over 15 million people were unemployed in 1932. The depression lasted over a decade, with hundreds of thousands of Americans losing their jobs, businesses failing, and financial institutions collapsing. Task: How did the Great Depression Impact the lives of Americans? Using a variety of resources you will research and investigate the Great Depression You will create a presentation to present your findings to your fellow students. Keep presentations between 5-10 minutes. Process: Using a variety of resources below, you will read through parts of the websites and look (pictures and videos) to do your investigating. Your presentations will consist of no more than three individuals. Your research will be conducted in 2 class periods with presentations starting the 3rd day of class.
