The Department of Mathematics and Science is informing all principals, assistant principals, and teachers about the Encounters in Excellence film lecture, Ghosts of the Western Glades, focusing on South Florida biodiversity in the mysterious swamps west of Everglades National Park and includes rare glimpses of the illusive Florida panther, Everglades mink and other vanishing wildlife. Audience: Students in grades 4-12. Venue: The film is projected in school auditoriums using digital proj ectors and is narrated in person by the filmmakers. Students are encouraged to interact with the filmmaker after the program with a question and answer period. There is no other series like it in the United States. All interested schools should register using the attached Encounters Request Form – Ghosts of the Western Glades. Schools must select three (3) dates in order of presentation date preference.
