$1000 Teacher Training Awards
Teachers Plus Credit Union will be awarding four Teacher Training Awards in the amount of
$1,000.00 each to a permanent resident of Nova Scotia enrolled in a Bachelor of Education or
Bachelor of University Studies Teacher Training program.
Teacher Training Awards will be awarded in March each year. Decisions of the committee are
final. Only successful applicants will be notified. (These awards are not available to children of
employees or Board of Directors).
Criteria
1. Student must be a permanent resident of Nova Scotia
2. Student must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of University Studies
Teacher Training Program and must have successfully completed at least one semester of
studies.
3. Students in an “Integrated Program” (Bachelor of Education combined with another
Bachelor’s degree) are eligible to apply for a Teacher Training Award in the final two
years of their degree program.





Completed personal information form, which can be found at www.teachersplus.ca.
Transcript(s) of marks for Teacher Training studies.
Please submit a letter of reference from a recent teacher or professor.
Please submit a personal statement describing your educational goals, extracurricular
activities, interest/hobbies, and why you feel deserving of award consideration.
Successful applicants must provide a photo for publication purposes. The award will be
deposited into your existing account at TPCU OR an account will be opened in your name into
which the award will be deposited.
