Dear Bay View Families,
Thank you for partnering with us and supporting your students through student-led
conferences. It is wonderful to see students engaged in sharing their learning with their
families. This year it has been wonderful to have district supported interpreters, Yolanda
Fajardo and Jessica Macedo supporting our conferences. Both Yolanda and Jessica are Bay
Happy Holidays!
View staff and are much appreciated for all their hard work supporting BV families. As the
conferences come to a close, please know we are always available to meet in support of
your student's success. Thank you again for all you do to support your kids with their
success in learning at school!
Have a wonderful 4 day break and we will see your kids back on December 1st!
Respectfully,
Aaron R. Darragh

Nurse News: You hear a lot about the importance of
vaccines to protect your children and community. There are
many that are required for school attendance and there are
some very important vaccines that are not required but will
prevent a very serious and sometimes deadly infection and
that one is Meningitis. This bacterial infection causes
swelling of the covering of the brain and spinal cord. Severe
disease can cause brain damage, loss of hearing or limbs,
and death. Because adolescents are more likely to get
meningococcal disease protection from the vaccine is
important. It may act like flu-like symptoms of fever,
headache, stiff neck and sometimes a rash. The 2 doses of
vaccine are recommended for students age 11 with another
booster at age 16. Talk to your child’s doctor and schedule
them for a vaccine to protect their future health. Contact our
local Skagit County Health Department at 360.336.9477 for
more information.
