The Little Center That Could - notes for feeding Saturday morning

Notes for feeding Saturday morning:
Wound care:
Hans and Rainbow: each get 12 SMZ/TMS tablets. Put them in the syringe and fill w ith water, dissolve,
then squirt in their mouth.
Chapala: same thing, but she only gets 11 SMZ/TMS tabs
Rainbow gets one gram of bute. Dial ONE gram on the tube, squirt in her mouth. Works best to put tube
inouth, squirt the gram in and then kind of rub the tube oninside of mouth as you pull it out, so the bute
stays in her mouth, not on tube.
THEN……
Fill the blue bucket that is by the hydrant with water and squirt in enough betadine (also by the bucket)
to make it the color of weak iced tea….
Hans: needs the puncture wound on his left cheek bone (tiny, but deep) flused out with betadine. Take
the syringe that is in the bucket and keep fillign with betadine/water and flushing the wound until it is
clean, pink and wide open. (aobut 20 flushes with syringe)
Chapala: wash the cuts on her back left side with water, then flush out with betadine.
Rainbow: cold soak her right rear fetlock with water for 5-10 minutes then splash some betadine on the
cut on the fetlock (don’t need syringe, just splash whats left int eh bucket on her fetlock, she doesn’t like
the syringe…). Rainbow likes to have a few cookies while she is getting her fetlock soaked. It makes her
feel better! 
QUESTIONS: my cell is is 404-583-4591.
ALSO: please turn horses out in the front pasture when done feeding (the one closest to the road). Be

Oh, and Reg, everyone will be odne with their meds today except Rainbow who has one more day left.
So, give her the meds tomorrow (Sunday), but no one else. Although you will still want t to flush out
