The annual Strawberry Festival will be Sunday, June
14 at the Mayflower-Warrington Island from 2-4 p.m. Once again, we will have our festival tent,
Bounce-House, cake from Malek's, strawberries and whipped topping, with lively music from The Clarinet
Collection. Strawberries and cake: $1.75
Can you help? We need volunteers to prepare and organize. We especially need servers for 30-minute time slots on Sunday, June 14 between 2 and 4 p.m..
For example: 2:00 to 2:30; 2:30 – 3:00; etc. This is a great way to meet your neighbors. Others can help by helping with shopping, preparing the strawberries, etc., a few days before the event.
Contact Andrea O’Sullivan by phone at 271-7770 or at avosullivan@yahoo.com if you can assist with the festival.
Annual Dues for 2015 are $6, unchanged from last year! Thanks to all families who paid their BANA dues. Here’s a reminder of what things cost. Your dues cover fliers, website, e-mail notices, the strawberry festival, a yard sale on odd numbered years, and a periodically published directory.
Expenses for 2014 were as follows:
•
•
Tent for festival: $384
Bounce House: $125
•
•
Festival supplies: $200
Website: $119
• Fliers: $140
Publishing a directory update in 2010 was $600.
Costs have risen since then.
We can keep dues low only if a large number of families contribute. Please contribute and complete the information on back for dues recording and directory information. Your e-mail address helps us contact you quickly about emergency situations, town notices, etc. We do not sell our e-mail lists.
BANA will place a classified ad in Rochester’s
Democrat and Chronicle, alerting buyers that
Bel-Air is holding its yard sale Friday June 12 through Sunday June 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A great chance to sell household items as family needs change! Sale is free to Bel-Air families.
The directory is being updated and will be published in summer 2015. Our directory can include all 440 families in Bel-Air! If you were not listed in the 2010 directory, moved here since 2010, or if your contact information has changed, please complete the form on the back of this flier. It would be great if we could have information on all the families that have moved here since 2010! We also include listings for neighbors with businesses or services (e.g. babysitting) they offer. Please submit your directory information by July 31 so we can print and distribute it this summer.
BANA appreciates volunteers helping as street reps and flier distributers, directory helpers, social activities, website and other tasks. We especially need input and assistance from neighbors about new directions for BANA, including social events. Call Deborah Hall at
271-6972 if you can help in any of these areas.
