Dear Parents/Guardians, Chattahoochee High School is instituting a new program this semester to provide students with a personalized credit recovery option for spring semester core academic courses. Our plan aligns with Fulton County School’s initiative to provide personalized learning for all students. Students will have an opportunity to complete credit recovery assignments and assessments on course standards they have not mastered in order to improve their academic standing. Below you will find the details for 12th grade students. 12th Grade Credit Recovery Plan 12th Grade students failing at least one spring semester class with a current grade average between 65-69% will be able to complete credit recovery in core academic courses in order to raise their course average(s) to 70% prior to the final exam. Teachers will submit names of qualifying students to the Graduation Coach by May 4th. 12th Grade students will be notified and given a commitment letter on May 6th. Commitment letters will require parent/guardian and student signatures, and are due by Friday, May 8th at 3:45pm with no exceptions in order for students to participate in credit recovery. 12th Grade students will attend mandatory credit recovery sessions from Monday, May 11th through Friday, May 15th from 3:40pm -5:40pm. Attendance at each session is mandatory with no exceptions. Location TBD. Edgenuity courses will be used for virtual instruction and assessment of standards for credit recovery. Students will be required to earn passing grades on all assignments and assessments within Edgenuity during credit recovery sessions, score at least 70% on all remaining course work after May 4th, and pass the final exam in order to earn a passing grade in the course. Students should ask their teachers if they qualify for this program in a particular course. Courses available for this program are listed on below.
