Southern Two Day Tour 2015 – Sat 14 - Sun 15 February 2015

Day 1: Saturday 14th February Bushy Park
1.00 pm: Bushy Park - Meadowbank Road Race 1
Start at Bushy Park Oval on Gordon Rd, Bushy Park as marshalling and start area.
Senior A-B (1.00pm), C (1.02pm) and D (1.04pm) grades*: ride under control from oval east
along Gordon River Rd (~3-4km), until left onto Lyell Highway where race proper starts
then on to Gretna, Hamilton, Meadowbank, left onto Dawson-Ellendale Rd, Ellendale,
Fentonbury, left at Westerway, Karanja, Bushy Park to finish on Gordon River Rd adjacent
to oval = 68.4 km (see map 1) KOMs at Col de Hamilton and Ellendale
12.30pm Senior E (start 12.40pm), F grades (Start 12.42pm) Senior G (start 12.44)*: Race
towards Westerway then through Fentonbury and Ellendale to “Col de Ellendale and turn
around for return = 54km (see map 2) for KOM at Col de Ellendale
12.30pm Junior U15 (start 12.30pm): Bushy Park to Westerway then turn in Fentonbury and
return = 29 km (see map 2)
Day 2: Sunday 15th February Bothwell
10.00am: Time trial Stage 2
Bothwell Oval on Hollowtree Rd registration, parking and marshal at Corner of Wentworth St (see
map 3).
Senior A, B, C and D grades*: Start and finish near entrance to Bothwell Oval on William St –
Hollowtree Rd in the 60km/hr zone (see map 3) out 13.2km to Green Valley Rd and return
= 26.42 km time trial (see map 4)
Senior E, F & G grades* and Junior U15: Start and finish near entrance to Bothwell Oval on
William St – Hollowtree Rd in the 60km/hr zone (see map 3) out 8.6km (Humbee Rd) to
(U15 start point) and return = 15.83 km time trial (see map 4).
12.30pm: Bothwell – Blackburn Ck return Road Race 2, Stage 3
Bothwell Oval on Hollowtree Rd registration, parking and marshalling area at corner of
Wentworth St and Highland Lakes Rd (see map 3).
Senior grades E (12.40pm), F (12.42pm) and G (12.44pm) start and finish close to the Devils
Den Cafe on Highland Lakes rd (see map 3) and will turn around at Wadammana Rd (15.5
km to Blackburn Ck and return = 31 km - see map 5). Senior A – B (1.00pm), C
(1.02pm) and D (1.04pm) grades*: start and finish close to the Devils Den Cafe on
Highland Lakes rd (see map 3) and proceed towards Great Lake to turn at Blackburn Ck,
then return to the starting point in Bothwell (54.9km ride, see Map 5).
Junior U15 (12.42pm): will start at near the Devils Den Café with Senior E grade on Highland
Lakes rd and proceed to near Waddammana Rd (15.5km) where they will turn and return
to the finish in Bothwell = 31 km total.
* Junior U17s will race with their appropriate Cycling Tasmania senior grade. As this is a
relatively hard series of races, U17s will be required to obtain coach and parental permission to race
in Grades D and above. It would be expected that all first year U17s would race with either the
senior E, F and G grades on the shorter course.
Race entry:
Masters, Seniors and U17: $20 per stage or $50 for tour.
Juniors: $10 per event or $25 for tour

Tour Winners determined by accumulated stage points within Grade:
Stage points:
1st = 10 points, 2nd = 8 points, 3rd = 7 points, 4th = 6 points, 5th = 5 points, 6th = 4 points, 7th = 3
points, 8th = 2 points, mechanical/crash DNF = 1 point, DNF all other reasons = 0 points.
Overall Seniors winner:
Although riders will race with in grades, the overall winner will be the rider from any grade who
who accumulates the most points from finishes. If two riders have the same number of points, the
winner will be the rider on count back.
Club trophy: Trophy for top club goes to the club whose members who accumulate the most
points across all senior grades. Trophy sponsored by St Lukes. STCC won the trophy in 2014.
Prize money: Expected to be inexcess of $2000 allocated evenly between grades.
Grade winners will receive a sash, as will the top female and U17 rider (senior or junior) who
accumulates the most points.
