WILKINSBURG POLICE AREA RENOVATION PROJECT – SCOPE OF WORK
ROLL CALL ROOM
WALL ENCLOSURE OVER EXISTING PIPING - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to
purchase and install new 2”X4” or metal stud wall system complete with moisture resistant gypsum board,
and (2) sets of double 18” x 80” BI-fold doors to enclose existing piping along wall. All seams on this wall
shall be taped and covered with joint compound for a smooth finish. Contractor shall also apply a hard
coat of plaster to the wall.
SUSPENDED CEILING - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to purchase and install
new 2’X4’ Armstrong Directional textured Lay-in suspended ceiling tile (or approved equivalent) complete
with Prelude 15/16” exposed Tee grid system. Item also includes the cost of labor and materials required
to remove existing suspended ceiling and grid system and dispose of all materials.
2’x4’ FLOURESCENT LIGHTS AND WIRING.- Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to
purchase and install new 2’X4’ recessed fluorescent light fixtures and new bulbs. Lights to be Lithonia
Model No. 2RT8S or approved equivalent. Items also includes the cost of labor and materials required to
remove all existing light fixtures, and dispose of properly. All wiring to panel box shall remain intact,
unless visual evidence of corrosion and/or exposed wiring. All wiring not deemed to remain shall be
replaced at no extra cost.
VITRIFIED CLAY TILE FLOORING SYSTEM - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to
purchase and install new vitrified clay tile flooring system, complete with application of adhesive per
manufacturer’s recommendations for installation. Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to
purchase and install new cove base along all walls. Item also includes the cost of labor and materials
required to remove existing Tile floor and dispose of all materials properly.
PAINTING - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to purchase and install (2) two coats of
Sherwin Williams or equal) paint on walls in this area. Item shall also include the cost of labor and
materials required for preparation work including but not limited to sanding, scraping, or filling all voids
with joint compound as required for a proper installation.
SERGEANTS ROOM
PLASTER REPAIR - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to sand and scrape existing
chipped plaster away from wall, purchase and install new plaster on all areas and provide smooth
transition between new work and existing work.

style and exact dimensions of proposed countertop to be installed.

JAIL CELL LOCK UP
NEW WATER CLOSETS - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to purchase and install a
3318 Retrofit unit by Cornerstone Institutional LLC. (or approved equivalent) in all Jail Cells as shown on
plans. Item includes all valves and plumbing appurtenances for a complete installation. Item also includes
the cost of labor and materials required to remove existing fixtures and dispose of all materials properly.
PAINTING - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to purchase and install (2) two coats of
Sherwin Williams or equal) paint on walls in this area. Item shall also include the cost of labor and
materials required for preparation work including but not limited to sanding, scraping, or filling all voids
with joint compound as required for a proper installation

be replaced at no extra cost.
VENT COVERS – Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to purchase and install new
security type vent covers by Kees Incorporated Model No. SEG-6 (or approved equivalent) in all jail cells.
MEN’S LOCKER ROOM RENOVATIONS
CEILING PLATE – Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to install a metal plate to cover
access openings in ceiling of locker room. The plates must be able to be removed when required to gain
access by screws or bolts. Contractor to submit detail of type of plate to be considered, and method of
anchoring to ceiling.
NEW SHOWERS – Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to install typical 3’X3’ metal
shower stall by Harbor Supply Inc. Item No. SC-BW2 or approved equivalent complete with all
appurtenances for a complete installation.
NEW URINALS - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to install Kohler Model #: 5016ER-0 (or approved equivalent) complete with flush valve and all appurtenances for a complete installation.
NEW LAVATORY FIXTURES - Item includes the cost of labor and materials required to install Delta
Model #: 2597LF-MPU (or approved equivalent) complete with all appurtenances for a complete
installation

a complete installation.

SHELVING – Item includes the cost of installing new 3’ long by 16” wide ventilated wire shelving in locker
room as shown on plans. Contractor shall install (3) shelves with a distance between the shelving as
approved by Borough Official.
HALLWAY – ELEVATOR TO C.I.D. ROOM

existing grid system to remain, however contractor to paint all grid. Item also includes the cost of labor
and materials required to remove existing suspended ceiling and dispose of all materials.

purchase and install new 2’X4’ recessed fluorescent light fixtures and new bulbs. Lights to be Lithonia

C.I.D. ROOM RENOVATIONS

and frames as shown on plans.

required, for a complete installation. Item also includes the cost of labor and materials required to install
electrical power strips to connect all equipment. All items located as per plans.
