„Mölli“ invites family action: Children rates up to 18 years old
The Mölltaler Glacier has over previous winters inspired its large and small ski fans with its “Children
rates up to 18 years old”. In the 2011/12 winter season is the fun continued. It matters not if you
are still at school, started a job or opted for further education: Everyone who can prove that they
have not reached the end of their 18th year can enjoy the children rates. For the little ones between
0-6 years is the ski fun on Kärnten’s only Glacier completely free. The Mölltaler Glacier (From
Autumn 2011 with 71km of piste and 16 run variations) and Ankogel (35km) and the two highest ski
mountains in Kärnten and represent the maximum amount of snow pleasure for all generations
without waiting times. The little ones ski within Bobo the Penguins’ kingdom with his ski school
being located by the Köfele lift at the middle station. The larger kids learn easily with the Mölltal ski
and Board Academy on the Mölltaler Glacier. The territory for the “Young Terminators” is situated
on the Valley runs: The seven kilometre long valley run on Ankogel to Mallnitz (altitude difference
1,349m) and the equally long seven kilometre highest FIS downhill in Kärnten on the Mölltaler
Glacier will bring the heart and thighs to singing. Snowboarders will find themselves, just like World
champion Sigi Grabner completely at home on both the Fun park and Boarder cross track.
High snow and low prices
Children rates up to 18 years old on the Mölltaler Glacier
The Mölltaler Glacier (1,200 – 3,122m) brings families up over the 3000m border, but only pertaining
to snow and sun fun. The price stays on the valley floor in Kärnten’s only glacial ski area. The fact
that winter sport for families is in other areas not very affordable, receives only one answer in Mölli:
“Children rates up to 18 years”. Students and trainees profit equally from this deal. Ski kids and
Boarder teens that have not yet reached the end of their 18th year can all take advantage of the
children rates. The little ones between 0-6 years can have as much fun as they want on the Mölltaler
ski area for absolutely free. The Mölltaler Glacier (53km piste – from autumn 2011 with 71km piste
and 16 ski slope variations) and Ankogel (35km) are the 2 highest ski mountains in Kärnten and
represent the maximum amount of snow pleasure without the waiting times. The little skiers can
join Bobo the penguin in his kingdom and ski school located by the Köfele lift at the middle station.
The larger kids learn easily with the “Mölltaler Ski and Board Academy” on the Glacier. The seven
kilometre long valley run on Ankogel to Mallnitz (altitude difference 1,349m) and the seven kilometre
long, highest FIS downhill in Kärnten on the Mölltaler Glacier both give the winter and sunny ski runs
a new lease of life. Snowboarders will find themselves, just like World champion Sigi Grabner,
completely at home in the great Fun park and Boarder cross area.
Glacier openings on the “Mölli”: Free equipment tests and hot parties
Mölltal opening, Gigasport carving and Board opening, Intersport opening and SkiHit opening: From
October until December the Mölltaler Glacier pays out double to open the winter season 2011/12.
Not only are the fresh snow and the empty pistes brought in to perfect form for the early starters,
but also Equipment tests are organised for the best world brands of skis and boarding materials. The
equipment experts advise on the correct equipment which makes the 53km (71km from autumn
2011) and 16 different ski runs in Kärnten’s only Glacial ski area look even more enticing. The wide
carving test stretch on the “Mölli”, the seven kilometre long FIS race stretch and the snow park with
Boarder cross, jumps and wave track tempt with powder, jumps and jibs. A fantastic openingprogram with music on the mountain provides even more Drive for the ski day. To tank up with
energy and have a breather, let yourself be drawn in to the Panorama restaurant for a Specialopening-meal at 2,800m above sea level – and then straight in to the next round of snow fun. In the
valley will stamina be further tested: Meaning Glacier parties in Flattach and dancing till you drop!
“Yes we can”: New powder trends on the Mölltaler Glacier
“Yes we can”: With this message the Mölltaler Glacier joins the latest ski trend to depart American
shores – Powder fun with Twin-Tip-Skis. From the end of November starts the best powder time in
Kärnten’s only Glacial ski area. So now offered exclusively for the first time is an all-inclusive powder
package with a pair of stylish Twin-Tips for 1 day and schooling with a professional ski guide. These
special skis are curved upwards at the front and back, the edges are rounded and perfectly cut for
fun in deep powder snow and the fun park. After a two hour briefing related to the technical side
and the best territory on the “Mölli” is one fit to go out alone around the high Alpine panorama with
its 30 three thousand metre peaks and spend the whole day “pulverising” it. Throughout the entire
year on the Mölltaler Glacier (1,200-3,122m) it is possible to go deep into the snow, without having
to reach deeply into your pocket. The “Mölli” scores highly with its 100% snow guarantee – As
required we can assist Mother Nature though modern snow making techniques – 53km (71km from
autumn 2011) perfectly prepared piste and the most hours of sunshine in Austria. A tip for everyone
that wants to ride across undisturbed deep snow: Glacier powder with the first cable car and then a
power-breakfast to finish with typical Kärntner specialities in the Eissee Panorama restaurant at
2,800m. Comfortable Après-ski entices on to the various hut sun terraces, umbrella bars and igloos.
Incidentally holding sway only a few kilometres away is Ankogel with its 35km of piste and likewise
from the middle of December has fantastic snow conditions.
“Children rates up to 18 years old”: Family-Hits on Mölli and Ankogel
Kärnten’s highest ski mountain spirals the winter pleasure up over 3000m above sea level, but the
price however stays down in the valley. “Children rates up to 18 years old” means the most effective
family deals on the Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel. It does not matter if you are at school, already in
work or in further education: Teens up to 18 years receive the children’s rate on the piste. For the
little ones between 0-6 years all ski fun on Kärnten’s only Glacial ski area is absolutely free. That
makes the family ski day into an affordable pastime for daily life and school. All ski cards for more
than a single day automatically become “Ski Hit ski passes” valid for more than 390km of piste
including the Mölltaler Glacier, Ankogel and all ski areas in East Tirol. The Mölltaler Glacier (53km of
piste – 71km of piste from autumn 2011 & 16 different ski slopes) and Ankogel (35km of piste) are
the two best snow guaranteed mountains in Kärnten. They represent the highest level of snow
competency and winter fun without waiting times. An absolute for families are the valley runs: The
seven kilometre long ski slope from Ankogel to Mallnitz (1,350m altitude difference) and the similar
seven kilometre long, highest FIS downhill in Kärnten from Mölltaler Glacier in the direction of
Flattach. The snowboarders will find themselves at home, like World champion Sigi Grabner, in the
great Fun park or the Boarder cross area. The ski area Flattach by foot to the Mölltaler Glacier and
Mallnitz to Ankogel were designed with families in mind. The excellent infra-structure with ski
schools and ski rentals plus the ideal ski area for beginners in Mallnitz makes access to enjoying skiing
uncomplicated. Getting here without a car is also no problem: By train (IC-train station Mallnitz) or
by plane to Klagenfurt and with the Shuttle to your accommodation.
Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel: Complete snow competency on Kärnten’s highest mountain
Snow competency up to 3,000 metres high with sun and low price guarantee: These are the great
winter prospects for the south side of the Austrian Alps. The Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel are the
highest and most snow certain mountains in Kärnten. The panoramic view of 30 three thousand
metre mountains in Hohe Tauern is Unique in Austria. Known playfully by its fans as “Mölli”
Kärnten’s only glacial ski area is already tempting guests at the end of September to glide through its
finest powder. Ankogel with its big wide piste up to the summit was discovered by carving and
boarder enthusiasts long ago. Together both mountains have 106 kilometres of piste making family,
carving, snowboarding and free ride fans take a wide path around the stresses of daily life. The super
plus point on Mölli and Ankogel: Waiting times for the lifts and rush hours on the piste do not exist
here. In both ski areas governs the typical Kärnten cosiness – a refreshing mix of serenity and
hospitality. Both ski areas in Hohe Tauern are easy to reach by car: Through the international train
station Mallnitz-Obervellach and cheap flight connections to Klagenfurt, Salzburg and Laibach
airports. Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel belongs to the Schultz Group, a Zillertal family company, that
also holds under its umbrella the ski region of Ski-optimal Hochzillertal Kaltenbach, the newly
acquired (2009) Großglockner resort of Kals-Matrei, the ski area Hochpustertal including the
Dolomites Residence Sport Hotel Sillian and the St. Jakob ski resort in Defereggental.

Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel:
100 percent “Snow culture” on Kärnten’s highest ski mountain
“100 percent sun, snow and skiing pleasure.” The successful formula on Mölltaler Glacier and
Ankogel is as easy as it is comprehensible. The 3,120 metre high “Mölli” numbers amongst Austria’s
most snow certain ski areas. The south side of the Alps is the – Statistically confirmed – sunniest
region of Austria. From this autumn the Mölltaler Glacier sparkles with 71 kilometres of piste, which
is 40% more than the previous year. The new 4 seater Alteck chair lift makes 3 new demanding
pistes available: two “Black” for genuine snow freaks and one “Red” for experienced piste eaters. On

closely situated Ankogel and likewise a superb area for the well-conditioned and off-piste artists. Its
35 kilometres of wide spacious piste at the summit were discovered a long time ago by carvers and
boarders. The super advantage on “Mölli” and Ankogel: Waiting times at the lifts and crowds on the
piste do not exist here. The typical Kärnten cosiness prevails in both ski areas. This also applies to
the Eissee Panorama restaurant at 2,800 metres above sea level. The panoramic view from the sun
terrace of the three thousand metre peaks has the potential to become a little addictive. Both ski
areas are easy to get to with or without a car: Through the international IC station MallnitzObervellach and the reasonably priced flight connections with shuttle service from Klagenfurt,

Train like the Best on Mölltaler Glacier
“If the slope and snow is perfect then the training should be optimal”. What the World’s best skiers
tell us about the Mölltaler Glacier. In summer is the Gasteiner Ski Race Academy on the Glacier. In
autumn arrive the German National Ski Team with Maria Höfl-Riesch and Felix Neureuther at
Kärnten’s only glacial ski area. For many years have ski stars from everywhere come to Mölltaler to
work on their coordination and conditioning. The best loved training run belongs to the seven
kilometre long FIS race stretch. With the official Training time runs it is possible to meet the ski stars
eyeball to eyeball. At the 2,800 metre high Eissee Panoramic restaurant it is quite possible to be
sitting at the table next to such Austrian ski stars as Marlies Schild and Elisabeth Görgl. Snow
guarantees exist in Kärntens only Glacial resort not only because of the high altitude and the eternal
whiteness. The Mölltaler Glacier is actually the only glacial ski area in Austria that is certain of 100
percent snow coverage up to 3,120. From autumn 2011 the Mölltaler Glacier sparkles even brighter
with 40% more piste: Through opening the mountain of Alteck with a new 4 seater chair lift,
Mölltaler Glacier has enlarged to 71 kilometres of piste all on 1 ski ticket. On the podium here we do
not only place our ski stars but also our families: For children up to 6 years skiing is free, for kids and
teenagers between 6 and 18 is a 50% reduction in price. In addition are attractive family deals
including ski passes and Glacier fun. The SkiHit season card (01.09.11 – 31.08.12) is in reality a year
card valid for the Mölltaler Glacier, Ankogel, Ski resort Hochpustertal, St. Jakob in Defereggental and
Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei.

guaranteed snow. On “Mölli” already in October is winter beginning to happen with Fantastic
Openings. From November Kärnten’s only Glacier ski area tempts with its snow guarantee to
pulverise the 53 kilometres of piste with 16 variable slopes. The Mölltaler Glacier with its 7 kilometre
long FIS downhill is throughout the entire year the preferred training location of National Ski Teams
from around the world. The snowboard Fun Park and the wide treeless summit slopes direct under
the 3000m boundary are hot spots for the Boarding scene. The gigantic glass-steel construction of
the Eissee Panorama restaurant at 2,800 metres entices you in to Kärnten’s highest winter garden
with tasty delicacies and amazing views of 30 three thousand metre peaks in Hohen Tauern. From
the middle of December Ankogel with its certainty of snow and wonderful pistes joins the action.
The wide first class prepared slopes are ideal for carvers and families. The 7 kilometre long valley run
to Mallnitz (1,349m altitude difference) brings conditioning experts and downhillers in to rhythm.
The big advantage of Mölli and Ankogel: Waiting times and crowded pistes do not exist here. With
the SkiHit Card for East Tirol including Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel, snow enthusiasts have the
entire East Tirol ski area for the best price already in their pocket – plus the children rates up to 18
years of age.
“Yes we can”: New powder trends on the Mölltaler Glacier
“Yes we can”: With this message the Mölltaler Glacier joins the latest ski trend – Powder fun with
Twin-Tip-Skis. From the end of October starts the best powder time in Kärnten’s only Glacial ski area.
So now offered exclusively for the first time is an all-inclusive powder package with a pair of stylish
Twin-Tips for 1 day and schooling with a professional ski guide. These special skis are curved
upwards at the front and back, the edges are rounded and perfectly cut for fun in deep powder snow
and the fun park. After a two hour briefing related to the technical side and the best territory on the
“Mölli” is one fit to go out alone around the high Alpine panorama with its 30 three thousand metre
peaks and spend the whole day “pulverising” it. Throughout the entire year on the Mölltaler Glacier
(1,200-3,122m) it is possible to go deep into the snow, without having to reach deeply into your
pocket. The “Mölli” scores highly with its 100% snow guarantee – As required we can assist Mother
Nature though modern snow making techniques – 53km (71km from autumn 2011) perfectly
prepared piste and the most hours of sunshine in Austria. A tip for everyone that wants to ride
across undisturbed deep snow: Glacier powder with the first cable car and then a power-breakfast
to finish with typical Kärntner specialities in the Eissee Panorama restaurant at 2,800m. Comfortable
Après-ski entices on to the various hut sun terraces, umbrella bars and igloos. Incidentally holding
sway only a few kilometres away is Ankogel with its 35km of piste and likewise from the middle of
December has fantastic snow conditions. And what else: The Mölli extends its offer: Children from 06 years ski for free and 6-18 year olds receive a 50% reduction on list prices.
