FIRST CIRCULAR AND CALL FOR PAPERS
Dear colleagues!
We are delighted to invite you to take part in the conference «Translation and Interpretation in the
Changing world». Translators and interpreters have to meet a challenge of contemporary life in the
sphere of communication and translational services. Therefore the conference purpose is to search
for new ways of language acquisition in training translators and interpreters in high school, to
establish and develop contacts with the chairs engaged in vocational training of translators/
interpreters in Russian and foreign high schools, professional communities and translation agencies.
We hope that our conference will become a forum for sharing the experts opinions on actual
problems of interlingual and intercultural communication in the global world.
We encourage theorists and practical translators / interpreters, both experienced specialists and
beginners, taking their first steps in studying problems of international dialogue and translation, to
participate in scientific discussions.
The conference will cover the following areas:
 Russian literature in the world and cultural space. Theory, history and literary translation
methodology:
theory, history, literary translation methodology;
problems of cultures interaction in literary translation;
 Theoretical and practical aspects of modern translation/interpretation:
translation and interpretation in global informational field;
theory and history of translation;
technologies of translation/interpretation;
methodology of translation/interpretation: traditions and innovations.
The official conference languages are English and Russian.
Preliminary registration: The participants of the conference should be preliminary registered
before February 5, 2015 on the conference site www.perevod2015.fld.mrsu.ru or submit their
theses and speeches via electronic address perevod2015@fld.mrsu.ru specifying the theme of the
letter as “Conference 2015”.
Participation in the conference and publication of articles are free.
Articles can be submitted in Russian or English. They will be published in the conference materials
collection subsequently indexed in РИНЦ (Russian Index of Scientific Quotation).
Deadline for articles submission - February 5, 2015.
Requirements to registration of articles: an article should be submitted via e-mail
perevod2015@fld.mrsu.ru to the chief secretary of the conference as one text file including the
title, short annotation, text of the article, drawings, tables, references. The annotation should not
exceed 0,5 page; the article should be from 5 up 10 pages. The details of the article design are given
on the conference site, in the section “Registration of the materials submitted to publication”. The
coordinating committee of the conference will notify the authors as to whether their proposals have
been accepted or rejected by March 1, 2015.
Invitations will be e- mailed not later than March 1, 2015 on the electronic addresses of the
registered participants.
Forms of participation in the conference:
speech / talk + publication (20/10 minutes)
speech/talk without publication (20/10 minutes)
An article submitted to the conference materials collection
The conference certificates will be given to participants.
Location: Russia, the city of Saransk, Bolshevistskaya street, 68, building №28, Institute of
National Culture, National Research Ogaryov State University of Mordovia.
Travel expenses, accommodation and daily allowances are NOT covered by the conference
coordinating committee.
The Conference coordinating committee can assist nonresidents and foreign participants of the
conference in booking hotel in Saransk. Information on accommodation and the city map are placed
on the conference site in the section «Accommodation».

REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTRATION OF MATERIALS FOR PUBLICATION
Articles should be from 5 up to 10 pages, Times New Roman, 14 pt font. Margins:
left - 2,5 cm; upper, bottom, right - 2 cm. Red line space - 1,25 cm.
The article title is typed with capital letters in the middle, surname and initials of the
author are typed in black italics on the right, the name of the author’s institution is
typed in italics, 12 font, on the right edge.
Further goes the article summary (12 font, italics, not less than three lines) and
keywords (12 font, italics, not less than five words or phrases).
References included into the text of the article are given in the following format:
[Ivanov 2001: 6]. Examples are italicized.
A list of references (numbered, in alphabetic order) is given at the end of the article
under the subtitle "References", 12 font.
For instance:
Alekseeva I.S Interpretation . German language. - М: 2003. – 229 p.
Articles are submitted in Word electronic version via the electronic address of the
Conference : perevod2015@fld.mrsu.ru
The file should be named with the surname of the author . For instance:
