radiology experience including hands on experience in ultra sound (general and vascular
ultrasonography) , seeking a job as a sonographer, and also has administrative capability by
working as the head of the Radiology Department in several government Hospitals , registered as a
medical practitioner in 1994 and registered as a consultant diagnostic Radiologist in 2004 January.
Qualifications :1. M.D. (Radiology) – qualified in January 2004 – from Post Graduate Institute of Medicine,
University of Colombo, Sri Lanka
2. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) - qualified in July 1992 – from Faculty of

Working experience:
In all following stations, I have worked as the head of the radiology department and specialist
physician in diagnostic radiology including hands on ultrasonography. In addition to the
administrative work, my other duties were plain film radiograph reporting, general and vascular
ultra sonography with hands on experience, MRI and CT reporting, mammography. I also performed
interventional procedures such as Ultra Sound / CT guided fine needle and core biopsy, guided
therapeutic aspiration procedures, gastro intestinal and urogenital system radiology contrast
fluoroscopic studies, teaching medical students and post graduate trainees.
