N121 (080121) Born: 2008 Sire: Yalgoo 448 Dam: Nerstane AI Ewe 1025 This ram is a real curve bender for woolcut and micron. He generally throws progeny with huge cuts that are very fine and always have good WECs. Eight of N121’s first sons sold in 2012 in our sale and averaged $2840. N958’s progeny are big, plain bodied and generally above average fleece weights and below average WECs. N290 (twin) (080290) Born: 2008 Sire: N15 Dam: Nerstane Special Ewe 1366 A relatively old sire that always throws big structurally correct woolcutters. This sire has proven himself in the Tasmanian Central Test Sire Evaluation where his tops to culls ratio was outstanding and he was in the top 10% on 4 out of the 5 indexes on the Sheep Genetics website. There is semen available from this sire. N4636 (054636) Born: 2005 Sire: N43 Dam: Nerstane Special Ewe 2479 One of Nerstane’s most prolific sires. Highly proven ram.There has been many studs have success with sons of N4636. Highly productive skins with bright, white wools. Sire of Sydney Supreme 2011. There is no semen available for this sire N318 (080318) Born: 2008 Sire: N4636 Dam: Nerstane Stud Ewe 1382 Nerstane’s Sydney Supreme Exhibit of 2011. N318 was sold that year at Bendigo for $26000; semen was collected for the new owners, and then he mysteriously died in the paddock. We have since had to purchase more semen as his progeny looked extremely promising. We have bred some very good rams by N318 including our latest CTSE entry in New England, N13, who did very well also. Unfortunately there is no semen available from this sire. N13 (110013) Born: 2008 Sire: N318 x N4636 Dam: ET Special Ewe 1059 Bred in the purple this ram is by our 2011 Supreme Exhibit from Sydney out of one of Nerstane’s best ET ewes. N13 has recently excelled in the New England CTSE site having very good figures for tops to culls ratio and for fleece weight VS fibre diameter. There is semen available from this sire. N343 (100343) Born: 2010 Sire: L4073 Dam: AI Special Ewe 1315 This ram was judged Grand Champion Fine Wool Ram in Bendigo in 2012. Progeny are showing good structure like himself with good fine wool. This ram was sold to Broula Merino Stud at Dubbo for $12500 after cutting 14.5kg of wool. There is semen available from this sire N48 (080048) Born: 2008 Sire: P151 Dam: Special Ewe 1119 A ram we used over our best maiden ewes. N48 is by the Pemcaw ram that was sold at Dubbo for $32,000. He is throwing terrific structure and fine crimping wools. Charinga 119 (CH119) This ram was the sire of many show winning ribbons around the country including Australian Ram of the year in 2008 and Supreme at Bendigo with a ewe in the same year. A highly proven ram that Nerstane had great success with a few years ago so we decided to try him again after he nicked so well with our sheep. Grassy Creek 833 (G080833) Born: 2008 Sire: RP1135 Dam: GC60080 A very good ram from Grassy Creek Stud that beat N910 in Sydney as a long wool 6 tooth. GC833 has been breeding well for many studs that have used him. Progeny are very correct with good heads and white, crimpy wools. Langdene 75 (L110075) Born: 2007 Sire: N4636 Dam: Langdene SSE This ram was judged Champion Fine Medium Wool Ram in Canberra, Sydney, and Bendigo. Poll ; N207 (100207) Born: 2010 Sire: B866 Dam: 031066 One of the first Poll rams we retained in the stud. N207 is the sire of N191, our first Poll Champion from Sydney and Dubbo and was also named New England Field Days “Ultimate Ram” last year. There is semen available from this sire. This ram did very well on tops to culls ratios which we think very important. Poll ; Billandri 701 (B100701) Born: 2010 Sire: W2017 Dam: B565 This sire was used because of his outstanding results on-property progeny tests at Billandri. He is a Grandson of the late Billandri 142 who did very well at Nerstane. He has very good Fleeceweight and Bodyweight while being in the top 10% on 4 out of the 5 indexes on the SG database.
