FARM GATE - FOOD & WINE STALLS AT EXTRAVAGANZA... ARE NOW OPEN! Extravaganza Geelong – Eat Drink Discover will be designed as a trail to lead people on a journey through Farm Gates from Central Geelong, The Bellarine, Surf Coast, Otways and the Golden Plains Moorabool Valley regions. On show will be local breweries, wineries, bakers and artisan food producers, not to mention renowned local restaurants and barista’s in a Hawker Stall section. The Farm Gate will be set in a provincial themed exhibition of stalls divided by regions. Main stage entertainment will run throughout the day at the Cooks Lounge hosted by ABC TV host and MasterChef Australia, Poh Ling Yeow. As well there will be as a number of Masterclass sessions focused on regional wines and produce, not to mention special food focused activities for the kids. Entry to the Extravaganza Farm Gate for partons includes ten sampling coupons (applicable for food or wine tastings) and a branded wine glass which allows people to taste wines as they meander throughout the regions. Extravaganza Farm Gate & Hawker Stall holder details Where? The Farm Gate, including Hawker Stalls, will be located in the expansive Function Space at ‘The Pier Geelong’ on Sunday 14th July. How much? All stalls are $350 + GST What does the food/wine/beer stall entail? Stall will be 2m x 2m, and will be separated by regions. We anticipate between 80 – 100 stalls in total. Your site will include a 1.8m trestle table, 1 x white table cloth, uniform business or brand signage on back wall, ice and ice tub, power max 10 amp (if specified), 2 x chairs, a bin and a back of house support person who will assist and service your region throughout the day. A backing wall structure will be positioned behind each stall, however no side wall structure will be in place between stalls. Wine/Beer/Cider/ Produce Stall sales: In addition to providing tasting samples in exchange for tasting coupons, wine producers are asked to sell wine by the glass at $8 per glass. Beer/Cider producers are asked to sell at a set price of $8 per tumbler. What does the food hawker stall entail? Stall will be 2m x 2m, and will be separated by regions. We anticipate between 8-10 stalls in total. Your site will include a 1.8m trestle table, 1 x white table cloth, uniform business or brand signage on back wall, ice, power max 10 amp (if specified), 2 x chairs, a bin and a back of house support person who will assist and service your region throughout the day. Please specify the additional equipment you will be bringing in the Application Form equipment list and Extravaganza’s event management will be in touch to confirm your stall positioning (inside/outside) and answer any further queries. Hawker Stall food sales: Hawker Stalls are asked to provide two signature dishes that can be sold within a price range of $10-$15. Hire equipment by vendor. Your responsibilities: You will be responsible for your own sample stock (20ml or 10gram portions are recommended), sales stock and associated licences. Plates and Cutlery should be provided by the Stall Holder if necessary for the consumption of food. Beer and Cider producers must bring disposable tumblers for the service of alcohol. Coupon redemption: Following redemption of entrants ten sample coupons (for which producers must carry the cost of samples), wine/beer/cider by the glass may be sold at price specified above; food tastings can be sold at price allocated by the vendor. Cash management & promotion of goods remains the responsibility of each stall holder. Glassware: No glassware is required. Set-up? Doors open to public from 10am – 5pm. A staggered bump in will commence at 7.00am. The Extravaganza Event Team will advise your bump in time upon acceptance of your application.
