December Students of the Month Sofia Abuqube Sofia is such a pleasure to have in class! She always has a smile on her face. She is very hard working and is making excellent progress! Keep up the awesome work!! Mrs. Bowden Brittney Ancillotti Brittney has made a great effort to stay focused on her work in class. She seeks out the help of a teacher when needed, asks good questions about what she doesn’t understand and is willing to keep trying. We love to see her smile! Mrs. Weatherup and Mr. Douglas Mersadies Bargabos Mersadies is a wonderful young lady who is winning the hearts of many staff members at the junior high. Mersadies is a conscientious student with a huge heart. She is devoted to her studies, kind and caring. We are so happy that she is with us here at the junior high! Mrs. Blatt, Mr. Scullion, Mr. Short & Ms. Brogan Erica Bixler Erica is a student who strives for success. She is self-motivated to do well in Algebra and is a very responsible young lady. She works hard every day to do well and has her homework completed early so she can have it checked for accuracy. Erica is very personable and enjoyable to be around. She is a joy to have in class and it is our pleasure to nominate her for Student of the Month. Mrs. Klem and Mrs. Niles Jalen Borchardt Jalen is an excellent student and a very positive person. She is an excellent role model for all of those around her. Mrs. Waterbury Marissa Calaprico Marissa is a model student. She has a positive attitude and an outstanding work ethic. Mrs. Przybylski Sabrina Chajkowski Sabrina is a student in my Algebra class who has an exceptional work ethic. She is consistently prepared and works extremely hard while in class. Sabrina always completes homework early. She is great about asking questions when she doesn’t understand a problem and is usually one of the first students in class to have it checked to make sure it is correct. Sabrina is polite and kind and an absolute pleasure to have in class. Mrs. Klem Michael Cloonan Mike enters our classroom on a daily basis carrying a positive attitude and determination to understand the material presented to him. He asks questions when he is struggling, and is never afraid to get help. Mike is always kind to those around him, modeling a high level of respect for students and staff. We are so fortunate to have him in our class, and we wish him a wonderful school year ahead. Mrs. Klem and Mrs. Niles Katie Cochran Katie is a student who thinks of others and puts others first. She has an excellent attitude about school and classwork. She can be counted on to be a team player during our literacy circle work. It is a pleasure to be her teacher every day! Mrs. Wenk Julia Cody Julia is a model student--always comes to class prepared, with her homework and ready to work. She is always positive and a pleasure to teach. Mrs. Rice Tiffany Collard Tiffany volunteered to be a ‘greeter’ for my class. She stands just outside the doorway and greets each of her classmates with an “Hola,” a smile and the person’s name! Her smiling face and friendly greeting is a great way to start each class! Thank you Tiffany! Ms. Blumer Kathryn Donnelly Kathryn consistently works hard to understand, participate and improve in Integrated Algebra. She is a role model for other students. Ms. Beckley & Mr. Fenlon Myles Ealey Myles has a fantastic work ethic as well as a pretty good sense of humor! He is a serious student who works hard to reach his potential. Ms. Beckley & Mr. Fenlon Tamyia Green Tamyia is a very skilled on the sewing machine. She was able to teach fellow students how to operate the machine properly while I was assisting students with other sewing questions. Ms. Bower Deven Greenlee Deven is a wonderful young man, and I am lucky enough to have him for a second time. He is always doing his best and asking questions when he needs a little help. He is polite, kind, and always has a smile on his face. I have never seen a time when Deven has refused help to anyone – he is always there with a smile and a kind word. I am truly a lucky teacher having Deven in my class. He is a perfect example of a hardworking, intelligent, and kind student. Ms. T. Phelps Richard Dennis Richard is a “standard” as mentioned by fellow classmates. He is always in sync with the class and using his skills. He is also compassionate and kind with fellow classmates. A Gem! Mme. Zavalauskas Carsyn Dykes I would like to introduce Carsyn to the world—she is an incredibly talented young lady who not only succeeds in the classroom, her musical talent is starting to blossom. When you first see her, she is smiling and shortly after that you are smiling also. She helps make the junior high a better place. Mr. Whittico Jake Erickson Jake Erickson is a model student. He is highly committed to everything that he does and he maintains a positive attitude no matter how hard he has to work. He is a kind, insightful friend who makes it clear that he will not tolerate discrimination or stereotyping. He actively listens and treats all people with respect. He is a positive person who makes teaching a joy because he is curious, insightful and inquisitive. Mrs. T. Jones Michael Ferguson Michael is working very hard lately. He has a positive attitude and instead of complaining about something negative, he always finds something good in every day. He is a pleasure to have in class. Thank you, Michael, for being you! Mrs. Bowden Michael Ferguson is one of the hardest working students I have ever encountered. He is like a bulldog when it comes to his education. He uses all his talents to study, test and retest himself so that he is ever-ready for what life throws his way. I see no end to his talent and potential and he will be successful where others dare to tread! Mr. Whittico Brittany House Brittany is a student who is self-motivated, responsible, and always polite. She always has her hand in the air to participate in activities as well as during class instruction. She is one of our students who almost always turns in her homework early to have it checked and will immediately make corrections to ensure that she has a 100. Brittany is never afraid to ask for help and truly cares about her education. She is a wonderful young lady whose smile and positive attitude brightens up our room. We are proud to have Brittany in our class and feel that she is a perfect example of a great student of the month. Mrs. Klem & Mrs. Niles Jenna Lippert Jenna is a model student- she always comes to class prepared, with her homework and ready to work. She is always positive and a pleasure to teach Mrs. Rice Kalli Miller I would like to nominate Kalli for Student of the Month. This is an exceptional young lady. She is an Honor Student who is involved in Band/Orchestra and still makes time to be involved in three different sports. From what I hear, she is a great person and a loyal friend who has helped and guided her friends to success. She is the ideal role model for the young ladies in our building and continues to grow as a person and student. I highly recommend her for Student of the Month and wish we had ten more just like her! Mr. Whittico Randy Mon Randy is working hard at becoming a better student. He has excellent attendance, he is staying after more to get help, and he is being more conscientious about doing his homework. Randy is a good role model. Mrs. Dziados Gianna Mulé Gia does a great job in my Honors English class. She keeps up with her work and participates frequently. She also ran a successful food drive with a classmate last month. She is a star! Mr. Nadler David Nickels David is a quiet but amazing student. His work is well thought out each and every time. He may be overlooked because he is always on task, working hard, getting it done. I wish my whole class was as nice as David Nickels. He is an amazing person! Mrs. Carr Vincent Pitonzo Vinny is a student in our class that shows great work ethic and perseverance in his work. He strives to achieve his best at all times. We can always count on him to participate in class and to brighten our day with his smile. Vinny is friendly and polite to all students and staff that we’ve seen him come in contact with. He’s an absolute pleasure to have in class and we’re proud to honor him with Student of the Month. Mrs. Klem and Mrs. Niles Teresa Reome Teresa works hard in class to understand and complete all assignments. She is always willing to participate, ask questions and help others. She is an important member of our classroom! Mrs. Weatherup and Mr. Douglas Dae Quan Rucker Dae Quan has the most amazing attitude and smile. He consistently can be seen working well with others in the hallway, classroom and lunchroom. Dae Quan is a pleasure to have in class. The day is always better when he is around! Mrs. Wenk Katie Sinker Katie is very helpful in class. She is always available if I need an extra hand for nutrition class. Ms. Bower Matthew Sharp Matt was very instrumental in training fellow classmates on the sewing machine. This allowed me to help other students as they worked on the project. Ms. Bower Taylor Stone Taylor Stone is a conscientious, reliable student who always looks to find ways to help students. She is involved in many activities but never seems stressed and always has a smile to share!! She is a real asset to our building! He had a very slow start to the year. I was afraid that Camryn was not going to be successful in my class. Over the past 10 weeks or so I have seen an amazing turn around. Camryn is one of my best students. He now is handing in homework on time, and he is studying for his quizzes and tests. His average has improved over 50 points since the beginning of school. Kudos to Camryn and to his parents for taking my phone call seriously and for the outstanding job that Camryn is doing every day! Mrs. Werbeck Elizabeth Walrath Elizabeth is one of the first students to greet me every morning and her positive attitude is contagious! She is an excellent role model and very self-motivated towards her work. Ms. Cooper Kaitlyn Wheeler Kaitlyn always goes above and beyond with her assignments. She always comes to class prepared and ready to go. When working in groups, she always volunteers to help someone in need of it. Her attitude is positive and welcoming. Mrs. Potratz Sarah Wicks Sarah is one of my fine honors students. She has carried a 100 average not only in my class but in all of her classes this last ten weeks. What makes her such an outstanding student is that her peers are just as impressed with her and her accomplishments as I am. Her bright personality makes all of our days better.
