PCGB All-Star Recognition Program (Revised 11/4/2014) Objective One element of PCGB's mission is to recognize outstanding achievements by student organizations while continuing to foster growth on campus. To help accomplish this, PCGB sponsors the All-Star Recognition Program that recognizes student organizations that actively participate in the Tech community. Additionally, this program seeks to encourage student organizations to attend events that are beneficial in the areas of organizational enrichment, teambuilding, networking, service, and collaboration. How can my organization earn points? Organizations can earn points by participating in various events and activities in the following categories: PCGB events, Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement programs, campus community events, campus leadership events, and organization-specific events. The table below describes the ways that each organization can earn points: DEVELOPMENT – 205 Possible Points Type of Event Internal Event Requirement for Credit Points Social Events Event is for the purpose of increasing morale, familiarity, and camaraderie within an organization (must have at least 10 members participate) (up to 3 events). 10 per event (30 points max) Involve Alumni Have GT Alumni involved in an event to connect with members. 2 points per Alumni involved (10 points max) Rep Your Org Day Submit up to 20 photos to PCGB on social media of members wearing organization appropriate attire on Rep Your Org Days (check the PCGB website for more information). 1 point per photo (20 points max) Presidents' Summit Attended by an organization officer or representative. 5 per attendee (15 points max) Attended by an organization officer or representative. 10 per event (30 points max) Organizations will receive 5 points per workshop attended by an organization officer or representative. 5 per attendee (25 points max) Apply for at least 1 award 5 points per application (10 points max) Fall Presidents’ Council Meeting Spring Networking Night Leadership Spring Presidents’ Council Meeting Attend any other PCGB event Apply for Burdell's Best Leadership (continued) Attend Officer Orientation Attended by organization officer or representative 10 points per attendee (30 points max) Participate in Awareness Program or Training Executive Member should take part in a program/training to increase their awareness of issues facing college students (programs lead by Counseling Center, Women’s Recourse Center, Office of Student Integrity, etc.). 10 per event (20 points max) Leadership Conferences At least 1 executive member of the organization registers and participates. (up to 3 conferences). 5 per event (15 points max) ENCOURAGE CAMPUS COMMUNITY – 145 Possible points Event Requirement for Credit Points Campus Community Events Organization participates and registers as a team for the event. For example, TEAM Buzz, Homecoming, Relay For Life, etc. 5 per event (25 points max) Campus Wide Event Organization plans event open to the Tech Community (up to 3 events). 15 per event (45 points max) Collaborative Event Host a collaborative event with another student organization or campus department (up to 3 events). 15 per event (45 points max) Participate in selected day of Engagement Weeks 15 points per Engagement Week (30 points max) Participate in Engagement Week Points needed to become a 5 - Star Organization: At least 40 Points from each category 170 Points overall *** For all PCGB events requiring an RSVP, if an organization RSVPs and fails to attend without notifying PCGB at least 24 hours in advance, they will be penalized 10 points per infraction. This policy is in place so organizations on a waitlist can be notified in time to attend.*** How will PCGB keep track of points? For all events, your organization will need to complete the google form found on the PCGB website: (http://pcgb.gtorg.gatech.edu/). How will organizations be recognized? Student organizations that earn the required points will be recognized as a 5-Star Organization. 5-Star Organizations receive the following: Distinguished 5-Star Award Certificate Name listed as an All-Star participant on poster in Student Center display case Organization invited to and recognized at Up With the White and Gold Awards Ceremony Extra consideration on Leadership & Civic Engagement office space applications We are currently working on providing more exciting opportunities for our fantastic organizations, so please look out for updates throughout the semester.
