Teacher: Hello. Welcome to Language Leaper. My name is __name of
person__________. How are you? (Pause) Good! Here is our friend.
Kaz enters as teacher
introduces as friend.
Puppet 1: Hello. My name is Kaz. I am nine years old.
Teacher: How are you Kaz?
Puppet 1: I am fine. Thank you. How are you?
Teacher: I am fine. Thank you.
Puppet: What is this?
Teacher: This is an endangered animal. It is the Green sea turtle. Lets learn
more about this reptile...where it lives, what it eats, and why it is
endangered.

Teacher: Let’s hear a story.
I am the Green Sea Turtle. I live in warm tropical waters. I eat sea grass and algae. I

When the students here the phrase I am, they will put a place marker on the sea
turtle.
When they hear the phrase I live, they will put a place marker on the ocean.
When they hear the phrase I eat, they will put a place marker on the grass and
algae.
When they hear the phrase, I am endangered because, they will put a place
marker on the human and other animals pictures.

The students will be given picture cards of Green Sea Turtle, ocean, sea grass
and algae, humans and other animals.
When they hear the target phrase, they will hold up the card or cards that
represent the correct answers.
