She will do that today. School Council have been acting at litter monitors – very little litter on the playground. Anti-littering posters not made – to be with Miss Burke by Monday. Anti-bullying Week was successful – the message was spread, we raised awareness of anti-bullying. Ravenna – Only one of two class council meetings has taken place Pompeii – Only one of two class council meetings has taken place What are you enjoying in school in this year? Assisi – maths, science, lead up to the O2, Smugglers topic, trumpets Ravenna – learning about dragons, playing safely Venice – maths, science, literacy Rome ~ residential, Two Gentlemen of Verona, sitting at tables instead of carpet, PE, Smugglers topic, Verona ~ Science, Writing, numeracy, Wolves in the Wall, topic Pompeii – literacy, science, maths Siena ~ Colouring in, PE, castle, playing What could we do to improve school at the moment? Assisi - soft playground (Discussed previously, not possible at the moment), things for the playground – will be addressed in the spring Rome ~ more school trips Siena ~ Swimming pool (This will not be possible at this time.) Rome ~ Need to be more responsible, quite chatty Venice ~ Good Assisi ~ Good, we’re trying our best How is the behaviour outside and in the hall at the moment? Rome ~ Assemblies, Ambassadors, Assisi ~ Well – we try our best to stop it, we deal with it before it even starts with special assemblies and things Siena ~ Praying, We use kind hands Venice ~ We tell a teacher and Mrs Lee deals with it Ravenna ~ Talk to people, help each other, We can talk to the ambassadors Is there anything else we should be doing to deal with bullying? Parents, Teachers, Close friends, Older siblings, Anyone you trust, Anti-bullying Ambassadors, School Council, TAs, MDSAs What makes you feel safe in our school? Rome ~ Fire alarms, Verona ~ Lots of people to help us, Fences around the school, Assisi ~ Ambassadors, Good organisation on school trips, Teachers, People don’t get away with hurting each other, Pompeii ~ Staff and Gates, Siena ~ God Venice ~ Look after each other, Teachers, Other adults Ravenna ~ Teachers, Friends, Locked doors Actions Miss Burke to allow Year 6 school council to talk to whole school about being more gentle on the playground during her hymn practise – to tell SB by Friday next week.
