Allied health services can be accessed privately through full fee paying, insurance (TAC/Workcover), private health insurance or MBS items, enabling early (timely) intervention and prevention of persistent pain.
Private insurers may have preferred providers – consider asking your client to check this their insurer.
To avoid delays waiting for compensable injury insurance approvals, it may be advisable to refer on a team care arrangement or mental health plan in the first instance, particularly for psychology services.
