Job Title: Reports to: Job Location: Environmental Support Analyst II Program Manager Metro DC- Northern VA Active Secret Security Clearance Desired Support a government agency with a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties related to environmental issues. Serves as a technical authority in environmental and engineering issues, with responsibility for the planning, advisory, reviewing, and procedural development duties associated with project management. Duties and Responsibilities: Typical activities include but are not limited to: Assisting in the development of strategic environmental campaign plans and coordination and development of military strategic policy and DoD strategic policy Perform policy analysis in support of environmental quality and technology programs including climate change adaptation, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and the Safe Drinking Water Act. Reviewing pending legislation and their impacts Reviewing funding appropriated to program activities Reviewing legislative inquiries/actions effecting program and subsequent responses. Helping in coordinating Legislative Affairs Office visits, preparation for testimony, and assistance in providing appeals/anomalies on Legislative actions in support of all program missions. Helping coordinate studies and actions in support of technology and other solutions for environmental, installation, and renewable energy requirements Helping develop the optimization of new technologies by evaluating and assessing technology needs and proposed solutions. Assisting in reviews and evaluations of program performance and products for quality control and corrective action measure Implementing plans and requirements, and develops reports and systems Reviewing technical documents and plans Performing technology evaluations Conducting geological and hydrogeological studies and modeling Evaluating or performing human health and ecological risk assessments Reviewing sampling and analyses procedures and results Performing pollution prevention surveys Developing strategic and program management plans and guidance documents Supporting policy development Conducting audits and technical assessments Preparing and delivering training and facilitation/partnering services Developing and maintaining information systems Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, or higher degree in environmental science or a related subject Knowledge of and a minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience in strategic planning and working with the military. Strong MS Office skills: excel, word, power point, outlook are required. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. US citizenship required.
